Kylie
I may have given a little cheer when I last saw Rory mention Wodehouse. I think I've read that the WB list has been taken down, but there are always references to it around the web, so I think some people got a copy before it was removed. Do you happen to know which site it was on? When the WB over here became the CW they didn't just change their website, they created a whole new one. I don't have time to check right now but if it isn't on one of the sites, it may be on the other.
Kylie
I'm not sure. I've only ever seen references to the WB website. Hmm, I've just had a very quick look at the CW website and it seems that they only have information about current shows there.
Peacefield
I used to visit a forum/blog quite often called Gilmore Girls News, so they might have the list. I still visit occasionally because it's active and they always have news on what everyone from the cast is up to currently. I liked that about the site - just because the show ends doesn't mean the fandom does!
frankie
I just happened to read Ruth's reading blog and she's just read and enjoyed Valerie Martin's Property, which just so happens to be on Rory's book list. I didn't know what it was about until now, and it would go so nicely with the (my) current theme of GwtW, Uncle Tom's Cabin and To Kill a Mockingbird... I would so wish to buy this book now, there are no copies of it in the library Kylie, I think you've just bought the book but I'm not sure if you've read it already? I think Paula has read it as well and enjoyed it.
Kylie
Nope, you must be thinking of someone else. I'm currently reading Casino Royale. This is on the Rory List and the 1001 List, right? Because I don't seem to have included it in either of my reading list posts on those two challenges.

Casino Royale is not in the Rory List, at least to my knowledge but it is on the 1001 list for sure. Maybe you didn't include Casino Royale in the 1001 list because you didn't actually think you'd ever read it
Kylie
I think you're right, Frankie. I'm pretty sure the books I posted as being on my TBR pile were just a selection of them. I really should fix those lists up one day. It's no good having them there if they're just going to confuse me. I was a little naughty and started reading another book alongside Casino Royale, so now I have given myself an excuse not to read CR. What I've read so far isn't actually too bad (apart from the sexist comments); I think I just keep talking myself out of liking it.
frankie
Hmph, is anyone up for another group reading in March? I know some of you are still reading GwtW, but I was thinking we don't need to start at the beginning of March, and we could pick one of those shorter books?
Kate
I'd like to join in with this in March!
AbielleRose
What did you have in mind for reading, Frankie *says the girl who still isn't anywhere close to finishing February's book* Depending on the size and how far along I'm able to get in GwtW before then I may or may not follow along with this one. Welcome aboard Kate! Great to have you
Lucybird
Yeah sounds good, which were you thinking of?
frankie
Cool Kate that you found the thread I didn't have anything particular in mind though. The ones that we all agreed on previously and which are on my TBR are The God of Small Things, Rebecca, Rosemary's Baby and Wuthering Heights (correct me if I've got it wrong). From those I'd prefer Rosemary's Baby or Wuthering Heights, but I'm totally up for other suggestions
Kylie
I'd be up for any of those. I'm going to start reading The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath this weekend. But I don't plan on reading it all in one go.
Lucybird
Probably more Rebecca or Wuthering Heights for me,although I think my Mum has Rebecca so I wouldn't have to otherwise obtain that one!
frankie
Another suggestion for you guys: I borrowed Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay from the library because I've heard so many great things about it and because it's on the Rory List. Kylie then mentioned that the book's been on her TBR for quite some time and she might want to join in on the reading. So I was wondering if any of you others would be interested in reading this one for the challenge? The book has 636 pages in my edition so it's not that short though =/ If you others aren't interested in the book I could still read something else with you and read this alongside by myself or with Kylie if she's still up for it
Kylie
I'm still up for Kavalier & Clay! From Lucy's two suggestions, while they are both very tempting, maybe we could try Rebecca? But then again, Wuthering Heights is very tempting too...Ohh, I don't know.
frankie
I'm up for Rebecca as well Maybe we could read both Rebecca and Wuthering Heights in the near future, if not both in March?
chesilbeach
I've been following this thread with interest, and although I didn't fancy Gone With The Wind, I do like the look of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, so I've reserved it from the library and if it's okay with you, I'll join in if you do decide to go with this one. Edit: I'm also up for Rebecca as well, if that's the choice.

It's more than okay, I'm really happy to see more people reading books with us I wonder if there's a thread for Kavalier & Clay alread? *wanders off to check it out* Edit: Great, Polka Dot Rock has already started a thread on it and it seems that she really enjoyed it! And, she mentioned that the novel reminded her of Middlesex, excellent Edited February 28, 2010 by frankie

Kylie
Edit: Great, Polka Dot Rock has already started a thread on it and it seems that she really enjoyed it! And, she mentioned that the novel reminded her of Middlesex, excellent Oh, that's excellent news! Middlesex was one of my favourite books from next year. And I'm thrilled that we'll be reading Kavalier & Clay. That's another one that is like Gone with the Wind for me - I really want to read it but the size is a little daunting.
