rhunter
I read a book, years ago, about a small boy who lived in a community where difference wasn't tolerated, but he had telepathic powers, which he kept secret until he met his cousin, who had a sixth toe, and had to flee with her to the woods, where he was rescued by people from another land. Any guesses?
Rawr
After some late night google searching, i found this, i don't know if it helps but it's all i got "The Chrysalids," by John Wyndham (a pen name of John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris). The book has also been published under the title "Re-Birth." "In John Wyndham's The Chrysalids, post-holocaust radiation led to minor mutations such as six toes, or telepathy. Those who deviated from the norm, even those who looked normal--perhaps especially those who looked normal--were hunted down and killed." Univerze
You know, I looked this book up and I think I might read it, I love post-apocalyptic fiction in general and already thought about reading Day of the Triffids, but now it seems this writer has more good books. Michelle
That definitely sounds like The Chrysalids, and a very good tale it is too!
Rawr
I looked it up and thought it sounded quite interesting, strange as it is, it was that inclusion of 'sixth toe' that made me take notice I hope it is this book for the OP!
