I've read the first five chapters of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo today (up to page 94) and I'm liking the writing style very much. ;)

I haven't read the designated thread at all, although I'm constantly amused by seeing on the main page of the forum a thread seemingly entitled "The girl with the Dragon". :)

I want a dragon! :D

Good luck with your reading and your challenges this year Janet. I will check back for your thoughts on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as it's a book I've been planning on getting hold of for a while now.

That's a shame, Kylie. I hope you manage to get it soon.

Oh do, Nollaig - it's so good! :D

Apparently It's coming to UK cinemas on 12 March (the Swedish one, with English subtitles). :jump: I shall definitely see it!

I'm sceptical about the 'Hollywood' remake because of stuff I've read online about the adaptation (like "we might set it in Canada instead of Sweden... :D ) but I gather from a friend that the Swedish version is very true to the book.

Fantastic review Janet and I am delighted you enjoyed it so much as I have just bought this yesterday whilst in town. Consider it pushed up the Treacherous TBR pile.

I've had Dragon Tattoo on my bookshelf for a while now - I got it from a couple of colleagues as a leaving gift from work when I went off on maternity leave. I keep meaning to read it... perhaps it'll get pushed up the pile a bit now. :D
