Acesare*
It wasn't the type of book I would normally have even looked at, but I thought I'd give it a go for the reading circle. I loved it too - at least give it a try
Lilywhite
I started this last night and so far I am enjoying this one. It hasn't quite gripped me like Memoirs of a Geisha, although I do know the subject matter is different. Still, I shall be continuing with this one. Snowflake
I have just finished this book recently and really enjoyed it too. It was a very interesting read and makes me want to rewatch The Last Emperor which I watched years and years ago and loved. I am a Landscape Architect by profession so decriptions of the gardens in the forbidden city were very welcome.
