I always said books were "cool" (sorry!) This reminded me of an episode of Friends when Joey keeps a copy of The Shining in the freezer because it scares him too much. Is that what you're secretly doing?

Nici
Her's mine taken about a month ago, there are more on there now though....
Stephanie2008
I have quite a few books but they're dotted around all over the place, in between uni work and dvds. I also tend to swap books with family members and friends so don't get left with too many. I have to make room for my mammoth DVD collection Her's mine taken about a month ago, there are more on there now though.... I take it you're a Stephen King fan. I only have 3 of his books but I'm looking to extend it. Edited September 12, 2008 by Nici Merged posts :)
Nici
Yep I love Stephen King, haven't read any of his for a while now though....
Loopyloo100
I wish I had shelves, or a fridge to put books in! Unfortunately many of mine are in boxes in the attic as there really isn't the correct place to store them around the house, although a number live in one of the cupboards in my bedroom and of course the bedside cabinet. Janet
I have a mainly non-fiction understairs bookcase (with a few 'soon to read' novels double stacked in the gap next to the phone) and one in the lounge (with my 'long-term to read' books on the bottom shelf. Hubby has a bookcase upstairs!
Stephanie2008
Janet - I love your under the stairs bookcase. What a good use of the space!! Might try it myself.
Janet
Thanks. It's great, isn't it! I used to have a small free-standing one under there but we did nothing else with the space, so I paid my friend's very talented husband to make me one that filled up the space! I love it! Loopyloo100
Yes it's a good use for the space. Our understaircase has been made into a loo - it's handy, but I'd prefer a bookcase!

angelofboox
Ooer, I adore the under stairs bookcase. Wish I had one! We have a few in my home, but they're all overflowing. No room in my house doesn't have books in (yes, that includes our four toilets...don't ask). This is the bookcase I have in my room, the bottom of which also has books in . In the toilet you get your Readers' Digest, newspapers and ocassionally other books... And this one is built into our downstairs corridor, courtesy of my father. (Apologies for the blurriness, will replace it with a better one in the daytime maybe Also, I couldn't figure out how to make thumbnails )
Stephanie2008
Wow. You do have a lot of books. Curious about the 4 toilets We only have 1 between 4 of us and it kills me
