Michelle
Please use this thread to discuss the previous 5 books. Do you have a favourite, anything you don't like? A story line that has you confused? No discussion of the new one please! As for me.. I enjoyed the first film, but was reluctant to read the books. A friend lent them to me, and I decided to try.. I read all 4, then rushed out to get 5! Btw, does anyone know when the next film is due out?
Debbie
I went to see 'War of the Worlds' on Saturday and they showed a trailer for 'Goblet of Fire'. It looks really good. This one is directed by Tim Burton, who did 'Nightmare before Christmas' so it may be a little darker than the previous ones. I am looking forward to it. Michelle
Well the books get darker, so I hope the films do too. Trouble is, Bethany loves the films, and she'll get upset if I don't think she should go. (She's 6)
Acesare*
I have to be honest and say that I have never been interested in Harry Potter (please no boos!). I've never read any of the books, although I did see the first film and didn't particularly enjoy it. Sorry guys, there always has to be one! Stuart
It took me a while to get round to reading a "Kids book" but haven't regretted it since. The stories have enough depth and the characters are deep enough that it makes a fun read.
Jeff
I also enjoyed the Harry Potter books. By the 5th book I was getting kind of tired of Voldemort (oops did i say that) and think they should have killed him off by 3rd or 4th book. Then Harry could have moved on to some other types of adventures. I really enjoy the world that Rowling has created here. Very imaginative!!! Kell
I have to be honest and say that I have never been interested in Harry Potter (please no boos!). I've never read any of the books, although I did see the first film and didn't particularly enjoy it. Sorry guys, there always has to be one! Jo xx I wasn't interested at all, but I eventually succumbed after one of my best book-buddies started raving about HP6, so I finally grabbed the 1st one about 2 months ago & I've been hooked ever since. I had seen the movies, but although I'd enjoyed them, the bokos just didn't appeal till now. Im now eagerly awaiting the 7th installment as well as the 4th movie, as Goblet of Fire was my favourite by far - chock full of action! I'll definitely be seeing it in the cinema as soon as possible after it comes out
