KEV67
My local has a jukebox, which although not reliant of 45" vinyl discs, is not of the most modern vintage. You have to push coins in it (remember them), and it does not have every song on the internet. I have been trying to remember songs from my youth, but I have been trying not to pick obvious number ones or to repeat myself, which is not easy. Today I played: Lorraine - Bad Nanners All Through the City - Dr Feelgood On the Cover of the Rolling Stone - Dr Hook Mr Blue Sky - ELO Centrefold - J Geils Band Too Nice to Talk To - The Beat Just Got Lucky - The Beat Geno - Dexy's Midnight Runners Rhinestone Cowboy - Glen Campbell Baclk on the Chain Gang - The Pretenders Forest - The Cure Till I Can't Take Your Love - Eddie Grant Billy Hunt - The Jam More suggestions please. Suzanne
1981 Just started work at a hospital, in the soical club a jukebox 20p per song, at lunch time the only song that was played was "no Woman No Cry by Bob Marley, it was played so often all you could hear was loads of crackles on the record so not sure why people still kept putting their 20p's in to hear it .MEGA mega brill song . muggle not
That reminds me of a 1977 song, You Light Up my Life by Debby Boone. I enjoyed the song at first but it was played so much that I started disliking the song. I mean, you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing it. poppy
I got the dirtiest looks (I was half expecting to be kicked out) playing The Rockafella Skank by FatBoy Slim on a jukebox in a very redneck-looking bar one time. It was on their jukebox so couldn't see the problem

Two people walked out, but I don't suppose it was anything to do with the song.

Interesting that Carole King wrote the music for 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' sung by the Shirelles in 1960 and then later recorded herself singing it in 1971.
Madeleine
Bit too young here as well, I do know the well known ones but didn't recognise a lot of the titles.

Madeleine
Yes and so many of those have been covered by other artists, or used in films.
muggle not
Do any of you recognize this artist: Gale Garnett If not, do you remember hearing this song and lyrics: We'll sing in the Sunshine We'll sing in the sunshine We'll laugh every day We'll sing in the sunshine And I'll be on my way We'll Sing in the Sunshine has been in my head for 2 days now.
