Virginia
I did my big monthly shopping and I know I've spent about $300 American dollars. It goes mostly into veggies, frozen fruits for my smoothies, daily supplements and the occasional meats. Today I bought a pack of steaks Wild caught Salmon (how I WISH I had access to FRESH caught Salmon!) cauliflower avocados bags upon bags of seasonings from local Asian and Indian grocers eggplant green onions and cilantro rice vinegar jars of Indian "wet" spices saffron Actually I think I've forgot all that I've purchased BUT I do believe that I can now go in and cook some incredible meals that will no longer be bland. I can't wait to smell the smells! What did you buy?
Onion Budgie
I do a weekly rather than a monthly shop. This week it's: A ton of veg: kale, broccoli, sprouts, corn cobs, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms. Avocados Bananas and apples Soya milk Coconut water Sunflower seeds Tinned black beans Tinned chopped tomatoes Kellogg's All Bran cereal Linda McCartney mushroom & spinach burgers A bottle of supermarket own-brand whisky! (I'm a cheapskate, lol. It's a good one, though.) The veggie burgers are an occasional treat. They're delish, but high in sodium! Virginia
I love working with veggies, you certainly have a wide range of them! They can be mixed and matched and made great tasting with just the right flavoring.
