Happy reading in 2017 Little Pixie  Having looked at your lists I suddenly feel so much better about my TBR   But then you read twice as many books as I do so you will chew through yours a lot quicker. Good luck! :)

Thank you ! :D

I`m trying to think of my TBR as a gift, not a curse.  :giggle2:

Xiao-Xiao got a Kitty Activity Centre for Christmas. She`s on it a few times a week, though I don`t think it`ll replace the excitement that is string. :)

Thanks; :D She`s also just got a sheepskin radiator cat bed, which she loves. It took her under 3 hours to climb up on it for a snooze ( she`s generally so cautious). :)

I really struggled with Kolymsky Heights when I tried to read it last year... barely got 50 pages through it and was very disappointed considering my copy had a glowing reference from Phillip Pullman on the front (not that they mean anything!). Saying that, it is supposed to be very good so maybe I just didn't get into it properly. *shrugs*

I hope you have better luck with it than I did.

Goodness - I feel a lot better about my TBR having seen yours! Judging by similar comments, you are performing a public service :giggle2:

I hope you have a brilliant year of reading in 2017.

Thanks ! :)  It`s a bit of a lottery getting charity shop books - sometimes they`re there `cos of someone cleaning house, or because someone just couldn`t bear the book.  :giggle2:

If I can get someone to feel better about their TBR - and then buy even more books - my work here is done.  ;)

Books read : 10                        TBR 875              New Books Bought : 11                       Total Cost : £ 12.60

I popped into the Save the Kitties shop ( there was a Guide Dog in Training, looking at the books :D ) and got some books , 50p each. :)

You and Your Money - Alvin Hall

The King`s Curse, the Lady of the Rivers, The White Queen - Philippa Gregory

The Remake - Clive James

I also ordered a couple of memoirs by Rita Mae Brown - Animal Magnetism ( £2.81 ) and Rita Will : Memoir of a Literary Rabble Rouser ( £3.64 ).

I`m currently re-reading Book 20 of the Mrs Murphy Mysteries ; a review once I`ve finished the series.

  :)

50p! What a bargain :D. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

And look books read vs. books bought isn't too bad. You've only bought 1 more book than you've read (of course, it's also 10% :P).

How many books are there in the Mrs Murphy Mysteries?
