Thank you ! And ditto - I really like following your reading too.

I was thinking of posting a table pic every couple of months ; I`ll see how I get on, `cos I`m currently doing a reread of Rita Mae Brown`s Mrs Murphy Mysteries, so that TBR is going nowhere for a while. :)

That sounds like a nice idea :). I hope you enjoy your re-read :D.

For Whom the Bell Tolls is tied with The Good Earth for my second favorite book of all time!

The Martian is great too.

I've been waiting for your blog :) Happy New Year!

Thank you !    :friends3:  I didn`t like to put up my blog before looking at everyone else`s... Four hours later...  :giggle2:

I`ve had the Hemingway one in my TBR for ages ; I was reading them in order, but then I read some of Alan Coren`s brilliant Hemingway parodies, and I`ve not been able to read Hemingway since.  :giggle2:

I was really pleased to find The Martian so cheaply. :)

Onwards to another Great Year of Reading !  :bestw:

Oh my, you have a massive TBR pile! :thud:

Some favourites of mine:

Alias Grace - Margaret Atwood

The Blind assassin - Margaret Atwood

The Swarm - Frank Schatzing (this one is unexpectedly good)

Life of Pi - Yann Martell

The Book Thief - Markus Zusak

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Mark Haddon

The Casual Vacancy - JK Rowling

The Wind-up Bird Chronicle - Haruki Murakami

You have so many great books ahead of you. :boogie:

All the best for 2017!

Thank you ! :)

I`m living in denial about my TBR.  :giggle2:

Thanks for the recommendations ;  this year, I`m pasting them into a separate post along with goodies from other Boardies` blogs and books from newspapers and magazines, so I have a ` go to` list if my mojo falters. :)

Your TBR lists are sooooo long my eyes went squiffy! And there was me worried about having approaching 200! :D

A few to mention though...Her Fearful Symmetry was great, I actually preferred it to TTTW, The Book Thief is a must read, I enjoyed The Prince of Mist, even though it is one of Zafon's books for younger readers he certainly didn't hold back on the tension!

Also, Marie Kondo, one of the most useful books I have read, has helped me enormously, I am so much more organised since reading it.

Have a fabulous 2017! :)

Thank you ! And thanks for the recommendations. :)

Ah, I`m sure I recall the days of having a 200 TBR. Those naughty books multiplied when my back was turned. Now I`m hoping to keep the TBR under 1,000.  :hide:

Erm... That`s true. :giggle2:  On the other hand, in a few years, the house could be filled with Book Tunnels and I`d be on some TV Hoarding show.  :hide:

Yes - I`m aiming for 200 ( or at least, 100 ) . It`s the enthusiasms for new authors which get me into trouble ( I must have around 70 Richard & Frances Lockridge books, bought over the past couple of years  :giggle2:  ) and which suddenly make that TBR bulge...

Your cat is so cute, that was such a well timed picture!  :D

The Book Thief, Neverwhere and David Copperfield are three of my favourite books, I hope you'll like them! And hope you have a great reading year getting through your tbr pile! Although, I don't think a house of book tunnels sounds like a bad idea...  :giggle2:

Thanks - for once, the new books have gone upstairs instead of being added to the table.

Happy reading in 2017 Little Pixie  Having looked at your lists I suddenly feel so much better about my TBR   But then you read twice as many books as I do so you will chew through yours a lot quicker. Good luck! :)
