Just popping in to say I hope everyone has had/is having a wonderful Christmas.

I've been super busy this month (it's seriously flown by!) but all I have to do is get through this week at work (yay for 3 day weeks!) and then I'm off until 11 January, which hopefully means I should be around a bit more!

Hope everyone has had the best Christmas they could :)

I have to admit, I don't plan on doing much for the rest of the month and I don't go back to work until the new year, so I suspect it'll just be reading and eating! I actually had my first piece of Christmas cake today, so although I say eating, I've actually been quite restrained this year. :giggle2:

Hello y'all!

Hope the holidays has been all you'd hoped it would be and more!

We're home from a five day visit to my mom's house. Had a lovely time. We got back home yesterday afternoon and immediately unpacked and put things where they belong. I then made a trip to Walmart for dog food and a few necessities and picked up dinner. I was in bed by 9pm. Got up this morning and finished up with my shopping and am now ensconced in my home with no plans to leave the neighborhood except to walk my dog. Hubby is putting together some exercises for me as I need to get in shape. I'm waiting on the mail to bring me my new budget planner and then I can a jump on 2017!

Have a great day!

Hi Autumn!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday on the 25th. My aunt and uncle and their dog came by and the six of us (my parents, aunt and uncle and my boyfriend and me) had a lovely meal. On the 26th we celebrated Christmas with my siblings and their partners and with my grandparents and my parents. We had a great dinner. On the 24th we had a nice dinner too. We also had some Christmas lunches. I feel very tired now after several busy days, so the next few days I'll be trying to rest and relax.

Interesting bit of news today.

Some of you may remember that I walked out on my job working at a law office last year? It was 27 November 15 to be exact. I remember because it was two days after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I ran into a former coworker today and I believe I was meant to see her. I asked her about the office and she informed me that my lying former supervisor was ESCORTED out of the building by security for THEFT!! Yes, he was caught stealing for a law firm. I'm feeling rather smug and vindicated and yes, petty. VERY PETTY! This thief pretends to be a pastor of a church and he's been a wolf all the time. He lied about me on my last day. He had lied plenty of times before then but I wasn't able to prove it. I'm not one to take that nonsense sitting down. I blistered his ears and left him a text message that burned his hands.

Two months ago almost a year after I walked out, he is now gone.

Merry Christmas to me!

It's good to hear he's been removed. Good riddance.

I've been feeling tired from the festivities around this time of year. It's New Year's Eve tomorrow, never my favourite day because of all the loud fireworks here (which we've been hearing for days, but it'll be the worst on the 31rst and the 1rst.). The dogs don't like it either. I'm going to try to rest a bit today and hopefully won't get too tired tomorrow.

Sounds like the right thing has finally happened then Virginia - it must feel good to be vindicated after all this time. Apparently my colleague who has caused all the trouble where I work has also resigned - the maintenance team texted me to let me know just before Christmas. Apparently he has been offered a job in a hotel. I wish him well if that's what he wants to do - I wish the hotel well too!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, we certainly did. It was certainly a different one, but a great way to spend it, walking around the island in all weathers. The day after we arrived the island was battered by 50 mph winds, so we didn't get much walking done that day, but we made up for it the rest of the week. According to my fitness band, I did about 43 miles during the week, which isn't bad at all. I even managed to get down to the Pyramid (a lump of pyramid shaped rock, at sea level) for a spot of sun bathing on the last day - yes, sun bathing (fully clothed of course) in December. I think I scared poor Coran a bit with some of the places I took her to! Christmas lunch of course was brilliant - we were sitting in the pub for about 3 hours. The staff put on a fantastic spread - we had leek and potato soup, a lovely nut roast with all the veg and chocolate mousse, with cheese and biscuits to finish off, and of course a few glasses of mulled wine. Walking back to the Castle where we stayed was interesting! All in all though it was a brilliant week. I even managed to read 4 books. :readingtwo:

Just stopping in quickly to wish you all a very happy (and safe) New Year!

I hope to get back into the swing of things properly in the new year (including with my reading which has come to a bit of a standstill again) so although I may be AWOL for the next couple of days I should be around more from 3 January when things start to get back to normal for me.

Best wishes to you all!

Wow, December and 2016 almost gone, such a busy year behind, new Job, new dog, lots of travel

2017 plans are to be more settled and thoughtful of serenity

What breed of dog did you get?

It is 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time. Is there anybody celebrated the new year from this time?
