Birds_Will_Fly
I'm already feeling that Autumn/winter feel. Looking for a captivating seasonal read. Last winter I read the snow child, winter ghosts, the little stranger, mist in the mirror. Can anyone suggest anything? Something not too hard to keep up with. Madeleine
If you like books in the spooky, wintery vein, how about Dark Matter by Michelle Paver? Or The Taxidermist's Daughter by Kate Mosse (although it's a bit gory, with it's descriptions of taxidermy!).
Birds_Will_Fly
I've read both of them! Both brilliant!
frankie
We have a few threads on the subject: Spooky winter read? Christmas reads? Winter/Snow/Christmas themed books I hope this helps!
chaliepud
Eowyn Ivey has a new book out there, To the Bright Edge of the World, also set in Alaska I believe. Another great wintry read is The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Penney.
Birds_Will_Fly
Bright edge of the world sounds good! Just ordered it! I absolutely loved the snow child. I have read tenderness of wolves and loved that and also have another novel by her.
