lily
Hi! For my coursework in English Language, I need to compare a literary text and a non-literary text of the same topic. I've chosen the fiction book Land Of Milk & Honey by William Taylor - it's about a 14-year-old war refugee sent to New Zealand and his suffering at the hands of his new family - and need an autobiography, an account, news articles, literally anything else that I can compare it to. I've asked a number of different librarians, checked online bookstores, and can't find anything like what I'm looking for Ideally, I'd love to have an autobiography of an actual child migrant who was sent to NZ or AUS, but at this point I'd be grateful for any suggestions
chaliepud
Maybe take a look at Elie Weisel, he was in German concentration camps as a child and has written books and articles about his experiences and I'm sure some will cover his time as a refugee. He is an ardent campaigner for the holocaust survivors too so I am sure you will find something of use.
