Thanks, Noll.  :)  2016 is going to be a colourful year, I think! :giggle:

The Snow Sister was an entertaining tale, but not as satisfying as Frost Hollow Hall, which I loved.

I thought the ending was a bit of a let-down, to be honest

I must read her others this year though. :)

Happy Reading in 2016 lovely Janet! Hope you have a great reading year :)

Very happy to see that you loved Sense & Sensibility  ... hope you loved the film adaptation too. I saw it at the cinema and remember crying over Marianne .. was embarrassed then as had gone with a group of friends  :blush2: So lovely to see Alan Rickman in it portraying someone kind etc .. the whole cast was amazing (some liberties taken with plot etc .. but somehow it didn't annoy me at all though I had read it some time before. How did you fare having just read it? That sort of thing usually irritates me. I do like the Gwynnie Emma but get a bit miffed with it for taking liberties  :blush2:

Thanks, Kay.  :)

I enjoyed it very much - I wasn't 100% sure about Hugh Grant before I watched because he's always Hugh Grant, but I thought he did a pretty decent job, actually.  Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike him, but he's always the same!  :giggle:    Alan Rickman was simply fab as Col. Brandon.

Lovely to see you today Janet  Many thanks for the coffee and toasted teacake  :yahoo: The time always flies by but that's because we enjoy it so much :) Hope you had a good journey back and managed to finish Love in a Cold Climate .. you must watch the DVD soon (fingers crossed you'll love it.)

PS: I know exactly what you mean about Hugh Grant .. I'm not really a fan (though loved him in Bridget Jones :D) but he was good as Edward. Alan was fab though as you say. Just the perfect part for him.

It was lovely to see you and Alan (and Claire) today too.  :friends3:  And yes, the time whizzed by, as ever.  :)  Shame about the weather - I was going to suggest a wander to a couple of second-hand book shops.  Maybe next time you guys come to Bath...?   I think it's our turn to come up to you next time?

I did indeed finish Love in a Cold Climate.  It was fab.  :)  I've reserved the audio book of Don't Tell Alfred.  I shall endeavour to watch the TV series soon.
