Hi!

Athenea thanks! I hope I could pass the exam and get my certification!

My weekend was a bit relaxed, my boyfriend and I went out on Saturday night with a few friends but we came back home early. Yestarday I did nothing because the weather is a bit strange, is cloudy but it's very hot! I think it will rain soon.

This week starts the Festivals in my town so if think I will go several days, it's a nice festival, there are a lot of things to buy, food and attractions. Also it's starts the Roman Festival in the city, it's a Festival which is decorated as the Atique Rome so the food and the things that you could buy are like in that age. Besides a lot of people go dressed up so it's fun.

I picked blueberries again this morning. Mondays are generally the best day to pick as there is no picking on Sundays. I only picked 2.5 pounds today.

:o That's a lot of blueberries!  Have you ever tried them frozen?  They are almost like candy!

This weekend and week, its just study study study.  Last week of summer school.  Also with the knitting and crocheting, and reading a darn good book, I had a busy weekend!

Nice :D! Is it a special area then where you pick, since you say there are no pickings on Sunday (you may have mentioned it before, but I cannot remember )? I thought it was just in the 'wild', but your post makes me think otherwise?

Good luck with the studying! I'm glad you're enjoying your crafty things and your reading :)!

I'm going to the library sale tomorrow, I'm quite excited for that. My boyfriend hasn't been feeling well so lately I've been doing more chores (I don't mind though, I just hope he feels better soon), he's been having a bad 'bout' of ME ( / CFS) recently. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday afternoon, I did some reading and I played a video game (Defense Grid 2). I had a nice walk with the dogs this morning, though because of the humidity and the heat, there were a lot of stinging bugs (not wasps, but I'm not sure of the English words for these types). We did however see a duck family !

Hey y'all!

I went back to work today. I missed it. I also had my first appointment with a heart specialist. I'm walking around like Frankenstein's Bride as they have me wearing a heart monitor for two weeks. I then have to go back for a stress test. Such is life! At least my hubby is home!!!!

It is a berry patch that isn't kept up too well and is overgrown but there are others that also pick at the berry patch.

Two weeks, that's a long time for such a thing! How awkward. I hope they can find out what's ailing you.

Ah that makes sense.

I went to the library sale and got some nice books :exc:. Now I'm pretty tired though so I'm going to rest for a while.

It has been an interesting month for me. Coran and I went to Cornwall for a fortnight just before my birthday in June, which was great. It was our first 2 week holiday in all of our 18 years together, so I wasn't sure how we would get on, but it was brilliant. We stayed at 2 different caravan parks, one in the north and one in the south, for a week each and drove to a different place each day, doing lots of walking as well. The only problem with holidays is of course that you need another one to get over them. I have already booked the next one, which will be to Poland in October. Coran won't be going with me this time, as she doesn't have a passport !

I can't believe it is our wedding anniversary next month, it really doesn't seem like a year. It really was the best thing we ever did, and the only good thing that David Cameron ever did, not that it was his idea in the first place .... Corans book is about to be published as well, which we are very excited about.

Work continues much the same as it ever has. I really love the place where I am at now, it gets better and better each day and the staff and clients are brilliant. At the moment then, life is pretty good.

I'm glad you had fun on your holiday together :)! I wish you both a very happy anniversary :flowers2:!

I'm glad your work is going well :).

I'm quite tired as yesterday we went out for dinner with my parents and before that I waited for almost an hour to being helped at the vet. My parents took Boris to the vet to get his vaccination and I thought it'd be nice to go with them, but in the end it turned out my dad had made an appointment with a different vet so we were waiting for nothing (we thought we were waiting for this guy with his cat, he or she needed to be scanned or such but the equipment wasn't working so the vet was running around trying to fix it). I was quite annoyed, I would've preferred to stay at home. I did find it weird though that no one at the vet's place even gave us a glance as we were sitting there or asking us why we were still there. I do wish my parents had realised sooner but well not much more to do about it now, other than me trying to rest from it. On the plus side, Boris laid in the vet's office for almost an hour without getting any negative associations since he was not seen, so that's good! (He's not afraid of the vet though or anything, he doesn't mind at all). Also there was this cute young dog, she was beautiful . I think she was a border collie.

Going out for dinner was great though (tiring though of course!). My parents invited us to have dinner with them (we can't afford to go out for dinner much :blush2:). The location of the restaurant was beautiful, it's surrounded by this park and forest and there were lots of animals. We've been there before with my parents, twice I believe. I always like having a walk around there, it's beautiful. The food was great, we did this menu where you can pick lots of little courses. I think that's nice, because then you get to taste a lot of nice things. There were some wasps around (or maybe just the same one!), the restaurant had a little solution for that, literally, a solution of water with a lemon slice with some cloves in it (is this the correct translation? Wikipedia tells me so). It did not seem to help much at first, but my dad spilled some of it on the table half way through the meal, and we didn't see many wasps since ! The conversations were really nice, it was great to spend some time with my parents (and with Michael, of course ! He was really sweet to me yesterday when I felt so tired). We had some good laughs, too. And we brainstormed some ideas for something my dad was thinking about.

The library sale was fun too, btw. Michael was with me (my dad was at the bank), I found a lot of nice books. I hope to catalogue my books soon.

My sister will be here tomorrow, so I'll be spending some time with her tomorrow. She will arrive tonight but I'll probably be in bed by then (my parents won't be, I go to bed a lot earlier than they do), so I'll see her tomorrow. I also have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow. Then on Saturday I get to go and pick out some new books at the library.

Today is my last day of summer school :jump: I get about 2 weeks off before fall semester starts.  Monday is the final... dum de dum dum...

Glad you had a fun time with your family Gaia!

Anna, oh how I remember that feeling!! I couldn't wait for classes to be over, but by the beginning of August I was ready to load up my backpack and get back to class

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!

Today is the first day of our new family dynamic. Hubby went back to work today. Not out of town, but at the site he was originally hired to work at. We got up and went out together and I dropped him off, got on the highway and went to my job. It was great. I've either always been a homemaker or a student, I've never worked more than a part time job since I left the sheriff's department and even then, he was still stationed in California so we never actually had worked like this before.

On payday I'm going to surprise him with a really nice lunchbox and thermos set. I might treat myself to one also! Yesterday was my first full day back to work and I was exhausted from it by the time I got back home. It started out with me needing to leave work to get the charger for my heart monitor. I forgot to charge it the night before. The plan was that I was to pick that up then go pick up some files from our storage company. Well I put the address in from my home into my GPS and darned if the thing didn't send me 25 miles out of the way. I knew something was off when I it said "your destination is on the right" and I looked into an open field. Yeah, so...that happened. Then I got a message from hubby who informs me that I had left the second part of the monitor at home. It had fallen off my belt :banghead:  So the part of the monitor that is attached to me kept beeping ALLLLL DAYYYYYY LONNNNNNGGGGGG! I spent the better part of the day not being monitored, ugh. Anyway, that's how my first full day back to work turned out, lmbo! I got home and hubby had made the most delicious salmon and tossed salad for dinner. I was so touched! I'm glad he did it because once I walked into the house, I felt like some one drained the blood from my body and filled my veins with sleeping medicine. I was absolutely exhausted!

Today is much better. My brain is awake and I haven't broken anything (yet). Yup, its a much better day!

I've had a weird couple of days. I ran out of one of my medications on Tuesday, and me being the procrastinator that I am, I just figured I'd be OK and get a new prescription the next day. Nope. I woke up on Wednesday with severe wthdrawal symptoms (dizziness, "brain zaps," feelings of unreality, depersonalization, etc.), so I emailed work that I wouldn't be coming in and contacted my doctor's office. It took all day, but I got my medication, and today I am finally feeling normal again.

The this morning, as I was driving the 3 blocks to work, the road where my office is located was closed, so I had to take a huge detour (all the more maddening since this is usually just a 3-minute trip). It turns out the building across the street from us had caught fire, destroying 5 businesses including two restaurants that are favorites with our staff here. :( I feel terrible for the business owners.

Now I'm working like mad prepping some clinical charts for an audit. I've missed lunch, so I'm waiting impatiently until I can go home and eat!!

My phone conversation.. did not happen in the end . I sat by the phone and waited for a while, then when she didn't phone, I phoned them, the lady on the phone talked with my ADD nurse and told me the nurse would phone me back later, but she couldn't say a time. I waited all afternoon by the phone but the nurse never phoned me :banghead:. It's not the first time this has happened. It really shows the GGZ doesn't really understand autism. Ridiculous :censored::motz::Tantrum:.

I find that so annoying, it's like they believe their time is more important than yours, so rude!  :empathy: Hope you managed to read or something to pass the time? :)

I was busy yesterday, my new bookcase is arriving tomorrow so I needed to get the old one out of the living room and into the dining room. Something I thought would be easy.. of course not.. our hallway is fairly narrow and whilst I could get it out of the living room, I couldn't get it into the dining room, no matter what angle and way round Maddie and I tried! We ended up taking the whole thing apart (bear in mind this is a peice of 14 year old MFI furniture!) Thankfully it has gone back together almost perfectly, just a couple of minor injuries to the bookcase, nothing visible, and I put the baseplate back on the wrong way round so the screws are visible lol, realised too late after putting 12 ridiculously long screws back in so have now put a long sausage dog drought excluder (called Henry) in front of it! :D :D

Off for a walk in the rain with the dogs now! :)

I'm sitting around putting the final touches on a draft of a project I have to bring to my director today at 12. It's all the more daunting for some reason, now that I'm at home and have to go into the university (his office used be literally around the corner from mine when I still worked on-site!) I have no idea what he's going to think, and I hate having my work critiqued. He also has had a tendency in the past to forget about our meetings and not have time for them when I turn up, so given that I'm coming in from off-site I hope he's remembered to keep his schedule free today. Although if not, it goes in my favour coz he'll have screwed up, so he might be nicer to me about my project

Yippee for summer vacation, Anna! :D

That's awful about the fire, Echo.  Do they know yet how it was caused?

New book cases are always a treat, Chalie!  Have fun setting it up and of course, filling it!

I think by now you've had the meeting with your director, Noll, and i hope it went well!  Do you work at home full-time?  Do you find you like it better than working in an office?  I work from home once a week normally and while I like it, I also like seeing my co-workers and having less distractions than I would at home, like my cat!

TGIF!  My family arrived last Sunday and have been at the cabin ever since.  I've had a busy week but today I finally get to head up myself.  I'll just be up there for the weekend so hopefully I can pack in a lot of sun and relaxation.

Its the weekend, baby!!!

First weekend that hubby and I will enjoy together in months! What do we have planned? Nothing, we're broke and busted, lol! Maybe we'll get to that laundry room and shed. I've also got to clear out the dresser drawers for the boys clothes. I want to get them some bedding but I can't before next week. I anticipate being able to finally start painting this week, yay!

The weather is miserable, so I intend to stay in, bake a cake and read my book … just what weekends are made for. :)

Sounds lovely Claire, may get Maddie to bake something for the kids later. I've walked the dogs, showered and had a couple of boiled eggs with some coconut water. Now to get some chores done then I am taking the kids bowling then to Byrons Burgers for a treat..fingers crossed they do decent salads. Then home to do the ironing, this time next week we will be starting our holiday, plus Steve arrives home Thursday evening so I need to start getting organised! :)

It is a beautiful Sunday morning, very little humidity and a nice breeze. Hummingbirds are chasing each other near the hummingbird feeder, chimes are ringing and I am totally relaxed.. I sat on the screened porch a good while reading The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches: A Flavia de Luce Novel by Alan Bradley, got hungry and made myself a ham and cheese sandwich with a couple slices of fresh tomato on it and ate it on the porch. :)

I haven't been feeling too well the last week or so.

I'm worried it's Graves disease, which I was diagnosed with a year and a half ago. I was on anti-thyroid meds for quite a while. The dosage was slowly reduced, and last month I was completely taken off the meds. The goal is remission. I hope they are willing to put me back on the anti-thyroid meds if the Graves has returned. They are all too eager to destroy the thyroid with radioactive iodine in this country. My preference is to live with hyperthyroidism rather than live without a thyroid, but my wishes don't matter much when I am limited in which doctors I can go to. :(

What an idyllic spot, Muggles! Just the right place to be reading a Flavia de Luce book (I'm really enjoying mine, by the way ) Your hydrangea is looking gorgeous in the background there.  I'm SOOoooooo jealous of your hummingbirds!! ;)

My sister was here yesterday and we had some good talks, about biomedical technology specifically (she is doing her PhD in that field). I feel pretty exhausted from it, so I'm going to try to rest a bit today. It's quite cold, outside and in the house, so maybe in the afternoon I'll get myself a blanket and curl up with a book.
