You have to watch the car commercial first. :)

A comparison method!

I will either be delighted later, or my kitchen will need a good clean.  :D

Please let us know if the methods work as shown. :) I will try for myself the next time I boils an egg or need to peel potatoes.....and yes, I do peel potatoes. :)

I've seen the thing where you can 'blow' eggs out of their shells... doesn't work for me. Or most people I know. It does however loosen the membrane inside the shell, so the egg peels much more easily the regular way.

I don't see that potato method working for me either

The water and egg in a glass method worked well, although you do have to make sure that your palm can cover the glass.  :blush2:  :D

I could not get the second method to work, although I had only the one egg at this point to try it with. The next batch I boil up I will try a few variations - change the hole size (same, one bigger than the other and shape of hole), and also the expulsion method,  whether it is one sharp puff or more of a toot-a-loot method.

Oh dear, I seem to be caught up in the many peeling methods now!  :giggle2:

Yeah.. my hand wasn't big enough, so it failed miserably for me so I just peeled the egg the way I usually do it :blush2:.

I have to say, I've never really worried that much about peeling an egg!  I think the most I've ever had to do is four, and it takes no time at all, so I don't think I could be bothered to try these methods. :D

Fair enough, Chrissy - nothing wrong with being inquisitive! :D

Haruumph!! :) Well, we cook 12 to 18 at Easter for pickled eggs and my hands are large enough so I will give it a try. :P

I haven't eaten a pickled egg for donkeys years!

I was intrigued Chesil, so wanted to give the different methods a go. It is likely that I'll go back to my roll 'n' peel method in no time.

They are really good with horseradish on them. I think that Chrissy was making the eggs for pickling. :)
