vodkafan
I mean the film. I haven't read the books. Is it more of a teen film?
Athena
I thought the film was good, there is a lot of action (though there is also a bit of romance in it). My parents liked it (they are in their mid fifthies). They also liked The Hunger Games and Catching Fire (the films, they haven't read the books). So I would say adults (ie. my parents and my boyfriend and I) are able to enjoy it too, but it does depend on what kind of elements might annoy you. Because there is an element in the film of 'growing up', at the start there is the ritual where each 16-year-old has to pick a faction. Anna Begins
Ya it is sort of a dystopian coming of age tale... sort of like The Hunger Games, but without a love triangle, its just a romance. I didn't like it, but that was because I didn't like the book to movie adaptation, but both people I saw it with (my mom and her friend) liked it a lot and my mom is looking forward to Insurgent in March (they hadn't read the books).
