What's the weather like?

Went out in the garden at about 9.00 and it was quite warm even in the shade!  there was a nice breeze yesterday which helped but when it dropped it was very warm!

Well the last couple of days the weather has cooled down, it's been very windy and today we had a brief heavy shower with a bit of hail!  Hopefully the rest of the holiday weekend won't be so wild.

I hope that the windy weather ceases, as it’s battering the new roses in my garden! :( They have only just started flowering too.

Second weekend running for very high winds around me.*

I know I live in a different area to where I grew up, but I don't remember the wind being as high as this, as often as this, when I was younger - or even a decade or two ago...

*Not me personally, where I live. I don't only eat beans or something...

My mum has a  theory that all those wind farms are causing the winds.....

Saturday was also windy and we had a brief downpour with hail for about 10 minutes, then it cleared up but was still very windy.  Sunday and yesterday were glorious though, managed to get to a garden centre and it actually felt like a Bank Holiday weekend.

Ah, that could be a rather awkward conversation....:D

I spend most of the time indoors, as it’s so sunny and breezy, I get sunburn very quickly. 10 minutes outside maximum at the mo.

The forecast is for wall to wall sunshine for the next week....looks like a lot of time spending watering the plant pots.

Oh yes, about 30 mins every night watering, I don't mind it though, it's relaxing and gets me moving after a day stuck working at my "desk".

bit breezier today so a bit more comfy.

It’s quite therapeutic to water the plants, especially when refill the watering cans from the water butts....makes me fell nice that we’ve kept the rainwater.

At last, we have rain again!! Though only light rain at the mo. The forecast is for more rain (in the West Midlands), and I need a lot more precipitation for the garden.

P.S. 7.30pm and it's 11 degrees out there, with breeze from the North - and it feels ridiculously cold out there! :o

Back to cold and wind and rain with bits of sun in between, it's more like April.

I had my first door step socialising meeting yesterday, it worked quite well until it started to rain again.  but I now have a social life again, sort of.

then stopped off at the supermarket on the way home - no queue due to the bad weather - and they actually had some new books in, so for the first time in weeks I physically bought a book, rather than order one online.

Saturday was lively, we had rain, thunder and hail and it was pretty cold.  Yesterday was a bit warmer but still some heavy showers, although I did manage to get in the garden quite a bit.  Today is cold and windy.

Some unusual weather on Saturday - it was raining on one side, bright sunshine on the other, we were of course on the rainy side, it was windy as well which didn't help.  Then it cleared up for a bit, but rained again quite heavily around 5.30, and there was a bit of thunder as well. yesterday was better, cloudy but sunny too.  Managed to spend a lot of time in the garden thankfully.
