Best Author Competition - Round 3

It's getting close. And round 3 is bound to be more difficult to vote in than round 2. I hope at least.

The winners of round 2 are official. There were no ties. If there is a tie in round 3, you will have to re-vote in a poll. Only 10 authors will move on to round 4.

So, the guide on how to vote in this round (same as in round 2)

Copy & paste the list. Mark the author in each battle with BOLD text that you want to WIN.

Round 3 will stay open until May 4th

Charles Dickens –vs-- Neil Gaiman

Vladimir Nabokov –vs-- Terry Pratchett

E M Forster –vs-- Jane Austen

Edward Rutherford –vs-- Oscar Wilde

Goodbye, Rushdie. :(

Found this round much easier (bar a few exceptions), by luck of the draw, but it's clearly only going to get harder!

Interesting to me to see that Stephen King gets so many votes. IMO, while some of his stories are classic, he's not a superb author. But I dunno. I this round, I found it most difficult to choose between Tolstoy & Marquez. But I am a person who wants to make choices, so I made one. :)

Phew!  Missed that with one thing and another, but pretty much every match went the way I would have voted, apart from George Eliot, and my vote wouldn't have made sufficient difference.  (Don't like either Nabokov or Pratchett, so no real view there either!).
