Liz
Thanks for the review, PDR. I've had this one waiting on the shelf for a while but didn't really know what it was like or whether it was any good or not. Looks to be a fairly good and interesting read. Polka Dot Rock
Liz - Ah, no problem matey! It is an entertaining read, and I really liked Blue. Hope you enjoy when you get to it!
Maureen
What a strange name for a book!
Polka Dot Rock
It really is... And there's never any indication about it in the actual book! It was chosen to be eye-catching, I reckon. Mind you, I like bonkers sounding titles that don't really make total sense!
Maureen
Yep, I have read a few like that lately. C Brookmyre's books for ex! (Boiling a frog poor frog!)
Elin
It really is... And there's never any indication about it in the actual book! It was chosen to be eye-catching, I reckon. Mind you, I like bonkers sounding titles that don't really make total sense! That's funny, I think it does make quite a lot of sense. The whole book is about Blue trying to understand what happened and how. She's basically doing a study over all the disasters [her special topics in calamity] that has happened in her life [basically the physics: motion, time, energy, force of nature, "to understand the order of how [her] life works"..] so, I think it's a rather clever play with word. When you put it like that it kinda sounds like a female version of Donnie Darko?
Eleonora
It does make a lot of sense!!! Much more than the italian title: Theory and Practice of everything. Anyway, the book is really good.
