No Challenges.

:I-Agree:

Ok, I'm breaking my own rule here a bit . I found this easy Bingo challenge online. It should be easy enough to fit the books I read this year into the slots. They are pretty varied .

Yea, I think I need to take the pressure off my reading or it's not fun ,so this next year, no rules .     :)

Thanks Kate !

I decided to try a new approach this coming year.   ( Hope you get Sherman out of the way before then , if not, toss it if it's too much .

Life's too short to waste on books you're struggling with .

Chalie,

Thanks

I think this might just prevent a bit of the sliding mojo and reading slumps that have been all too common this year. It sounds like lots of  folks in here have experienced the same lately . Better luck for next year, huh ?

Hi Julie  :grinhat:  love your chilled out approach to next years reading. Hope you read lots of good books next year & i look forward to popping on to your shiny new thread to read all about them  :friends3:

Thanks very kindly KM  :coolsnow:   I think more of a chilling out approach will work better for me . Thanks for stopping in .

This is a great approach Julie. :D I hope to do something similar - just have a general list of books I want to read but no time limits or pressure. Hope you have fun with it!

Thanks ,and I agree, I have a huge pile of books on my Kindle, but I have it set up so they are sort of invisible unless I want to see them all the time, so I don't have physical books sitting here staring me in the face .    :icon_eek:

Good luck next year to you too .

:thankyousigna2:   for stopping by ,guys !

Sounds like a good plan Julie - I haven't even thought about next year yet !

I really hadn't either, until I saw the post that said we could set up our thread ,so I thought I might as well . You did well this year on your book totals, didn't you ?

 Sound attitude to take Julie!

Thanks, Marie !

Made me chuckle. Best of luck with your 2014 reading Julie. :friends3:

I'll echo James..... :D

The Sherman book is one of those, probably.  The only possible difference is my ingrained prejudice against Sherman.  I don't want to allow that to color my finishing, or not finishing the book.  Interestingly enough, the book is based on Sherman's own diaries and letters.  Apparently the man kept everything!  So, that alone should make it more.....interesting?  Insightful?  Yeah, all of that.

Not book related , but I'm not much of a stickler on my book threads .

Tattoos . Seriously thinking of getting one,so I've been doing an informal survey to ask others if they have one, what it is and where .

Kate brought up a good point :

As you AGE , your PARTS start to sag .

I'd hate to have George Clooney on my butt cheek ,then wake up one day with Jimmy Durante .  :(
