Raven
Science fiction and fantasy: the wonderful wizards of Oz. *Authors can come from other countries as well.
Chrissy
Interesting article. Thanks for sharing Raven.
Raven
I must say that even though I generally spend an hour or so in Waterstone's every Saturday, there aren't many names in the article I recognise. I suspect Tim and Steve will be familiar with more of them though!
Athena
I recognise a few names, though certainly not all of them. I own some books written by Australian authors, though I think I haven't read many of them. Then again, I'm not quite sure as I generally don't look up where the author is from when I pick up a book. Kylie
I don't recognise too many names there, either. And of the names I did recognise, I wasn't even aware that some of them were Australian.
vodkafan
I didn't know ANY of the names !! I been reading SF and fantasy for 40 years !
Raven
You must have heard of Trudi Canavan, surely?
Athena
I haven't read any books by her yet (I'm ashamed to admit) but my sister has and she liked them.
Karsa Orlong
I've heard of a couple of those authors - Greg Egan and Glenda Larke, in particular. I've looked at their books many times but never actually bought them. Trudi Canavan's books don't interest me at all
Timstar
Same as Steve, I've heard of a few and had a look at their books, Garth Nix and Trudi Canavan etc. but never read any.
