chesilbeach
I think these might divide opinion, as I know some people think books shouldn't be used in this fashion, but I think these book sculptures are just beautiful: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22597417 More can be seen by browsing through the "Book Sculptures" menu at the artists website: http://www.daysfalllikeleaves.com
Athena
That's quite interesting! They're quite beautiful, even though I don't like the thought of book destroying/mutilating at all.
Miss Mabel
If only old books are used i could be ok with that. They are wonderfully beautiful!!
poppyshake
I love them and would love to own a piece, Su Blackwell does similar things. I've been known to mutilate a few books by cutting hearts out etc* Nothing in that league though .. that's awesome! * In my defence they have all been rather bashed and bruised copies of Jane Austen and I have read them all. I feel as if the world has lots of Jane Austen copies in it and it won't miss mine which looked unloved anyway (though they weren't ) I have very respectable little red leather editions on my shelf anyway.
