Evvy
This is my first post here, hi everyone I registered here because I have a problem - I need to find books written originally in English (not translations) which contain unusual use (I know it sounds weird) of language. For example, a book which contains strange words (like the Russian words in Clockwork Orange), strange syntax/spelling or is written in dialect (either real or invented by the author). Basically any kind of experimental language which is different than typical English that most books are written in. I'll appreciate any help. MisterBus
Gosh, interesting question! I'll give it some thought but I wonder about George Orwell's 1984 - specifically the appendix on 'Newspeak'
Chrissy
Riddley Walker by Russell Hoban From Amazon, ‘Walker is my name and I am the same. Riddley Walker. Walking my riddels where ever theyve took me and walking them now on this paper the same. There aint that many sir prizes in life if you take noatis of every thing. Every time will have its happenings out and every place the same. Thats why I finely come to writing all this down. Thinking on what the idear of us myt be. Thinking on that thing whats in us lorn and loan and oansome.' Composed in an English which has never been spoken and laced with a storytelling tradition that predates the written word, RIDDLEY WALKER is the world waiting for us at the bitter end of the nuclear road. It is desolate, dangerous and harrowing, and a modern masterpiece. Edited April 18, 2013 by Chrissy
frankie
I would say Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov I've not read it in English myself but I've heard it's very unique in terms of Nabokov's way with English.

Raven
Not sure if this is quite what you are looking for, but Feersum Endjinn by Iain M. Banks might fall into this category.
