I know I definitely read another of Cassandra Clare's as well as her Mortal Instruments series so it must've been one of these. Unsure which one. It had witches in a house or something? Tessa's powers and backstory were so intriguing, i just had to know. plus the bad guy and his clockwork army were really creepy.
