ian
So, I'm temporarily giving you the power to cut through all the red-tape, contracts, ego's and other inconvieniences (like being dead), to enable you to put together a supergroup of all your favourite musicians. Who would you pick? Mine would be; Drums - John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) Bass Guitar - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) Lead guitar - Jimi Hendrix Lead guitar - Ty Tabor (Kings X) Vocals - Bon Scott (AC/DC)
Karsa Orlong
Geddy Lee Alex Lifeson Neil Peart That is all Okay, for the sake of argument, I'll exclude them With clips Vocals - Guitar - Guitar - Steve Rothery Bass - Keyboards - Drums -
Kylie
I assume you just listed the three members of Rush, Steve? Because I was going to go for: John Paul George Ringo But I guess that cheeky joke has already been done. As far as I'm concerned, they are the ultimate supergroup. However, I'll play along and try to come up with the next best supergroup. Are we supposed to choose musicians who we think would actually gel well together, or just make it a completely random group based on our favourite artists? For example, could I choose a dude from Cannibal Corpse and a chick from the Dixie Chicks? (Not that I like either band, I hasten to add.) Let's assume that everyone in the band gets on, and doesn't try to kill each other! Actually, I quite like the idea of a Cannibal corpse / Dixie Chick mash up! Brian.
Vocals - Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Dio, Rainbow, Heaven & Hell) Drums - Dave McClain (Machine Head) Bass - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) Lead Guitar - Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Ozbourne) Rhythm Guitar 1 - James Hetfield (Metallica) Rhythm Guitar 2 - Keith Richards (Rolling Stones) Individually all the above are amazing musicians but I'm not sure it would work in practical terms. For a start Dio, Steve Harris and Zakk Wylde would all try to be the boss. Those three and James Hetfield would all get in a fight over who would write the lyrics. Keith Richards would probably get weeed off with the amount of metal being played instead of blues/blues rock. They would all shout at McClain to slow down because he drums at 100mph. It would be fun to watch though
