  1. George Bernard Shaw, in particular John Bull's Other Island

Oscar Wilde, anything really by this man

W B Yeats attempts such as Kathleen Ni Houlihan

Shakespeare - Hamlet in particular

Kit Marlowe - soft spot for him, and feel he was robbed off much of his work

1. William Shakespeare - who doesn't love old Shakey?

2. Oscar Wilde - such wit and intelligence.

3. George Bernard Shaw - I adore Pygmalian and St Joan!

AH!  Another Tom Stoppard fan!

Tom Stoppard (Arcadia)

Agatha Christie (Witness for the Prosecution)

Federico Garcia Lorca (Blood Wedding)

Tennessee Williams

and, of course, Shakespeare (Love's Labor's Lost is my favorite).

And how could I forget Arthur Miller (The Crucible)?

Ooo I had forgotten about Arthur Miller!

Tom Stoppard is multitalented. I love his play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I also adore the film adaptation of the play with Gary Oldman and Tim Roth.

For some reason, I totally forgot he did Rosencrantz... (I just can not spell all that out- good job)

For me, Martin McDonagh - London Irish Playwright - Drama with an edge - "Someday I'll write a romantic comedy where hardly anyone gets murdered at all!"
