So good to hear you are enjoying it! :smile2:

Yes, it's lovely isn't it? And what do you know, I might just be falling in love with the 'Jackal' ;)

I have made some progress with 'The Passage' by Justin Cronin this afternoon. So far I'm a little disappointed, it's a very slow read.

I've just finished Bitter Water ~ Gordon Ferris, a good fast paced read, next book on the menu is

A Clash of Kings, the second book in George R.R. Martin's A song of Ice and Fire series.

I really enjoyed the first in the series so hoping this one doesn't disappoint!

Finished Before I Go To Sleep on Friday. Yesterday visited the library for the first time in ages and borrowed Possession by AS Byatt and Winter in Madrid By CJ Sansom. BUT was out in town in the afternoon and HAd to go for a browse in Waterstones (obviously), ending up buying The Radleys by Matt Haig. I shouldn't have as I have it on order from the library but .....Started it last night and liking the style so far.

Yesterday I started reading Garden of Darkness by Anne Frasier although it was classified as a thriller, I found it just too gruesome, I didn't relate to the characters or the dark setting, so I ended up giving up, this morning I started reading City of Shadows by Ariana Franklin, so far not outstanding but ok, so will see how it goes.

Due to a discussion of The Talented Mr. Ripley on another forum, I've picked up A Life of Patricia Highsmith by Andrew Wilson. Fantabulous!! I'd read all 5 Ripley books a couple of years ago and enjoyed them quite a lot. Highsmith is (was) a fascinating person

My reading opportunities over the last five days have been dismal. :(

I have only managed to make my way through the first three chapters of Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods. A brilliant read thus far. Hilariously irreverent whilst at the same time managing to impart facts about the Appalachian Trail and surrounding area without being wearisome.

I finished I Capture The Castle last night it was hard to choose something to follow such a good book but picked one I've had on my shelves for awhile The Loved and Envied by Enid Bagnold not read anything by her before but she's probably most well known for writing the children's story National Velvet.

I just finished The Anniversary Man. Really great read. I've got so many good books on my Kindle that I'm struggling with what to read next. They all sound so great but I think I'll start with The End Specialist by Drew Magary. It's set in the future where they have discovered the cure for aging, only to have other negative consequences.

Just started The People Next Door, a little hard to get into as I find his writing style quite disjointed (in this particular novel) but I am actually starting to get into it....lots of suspense. Let's hope its a good one to restore my faith in Christopher Ransom.

My lack of mojo is freaking me out. I tried starting about 10 different books last night in bed and nothing got me interested. :(

Time for a few beers instead !

Have you tried re-reading a favourite book ? or taking a break from reading for a week or so ? sometimes these help kick start my mojo
