  1. Hi there, I have recently read a selection of books set in the far east and I have enjoyed all of them. The books included; red lotus, empress orchid, snow flower and the secret fan, memoirs of a geisha and peony in love. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any other books set in the far east Japan or China etc. They can be fiction or non fiction as I've heard that Wild Swans is good. Thanks in advance
  2. Hi everyone, About 2 months ago I finished Shogun by James Clavell and I loved it. Since then I have been in search for similiar books. I don´t really care if it´s based on real events, but there should be this most interesting and exotic medieval Japanese culture of harmony, perfectionism and "not saying what you mean" (don´t know how else to describe it ) in it. Books i´ve already read or don´t want to read: The Otori Series, read it around 7 years ago, when I was a teenager. Is it worth a re-read? Memoirs of a Geisha, not interested, sounds too much like a Romance to me. Stormdancer, it was ok, but I expected more from it. Thank you for your help
  3. Hello. I've recently read Sun Tzu's - Art of War and want to buy a smiliar book titled - Book of Five Rings. So I went to amazon and searched for it and got quite a few results. Here is the catch. I have two rules before buying a book. I only buy UK English books that don't have a hardcover (prefer it pocket size as well). So if the title I'm after excist in a classic orange Penguin Pocket format. I buy that. Sadly Penguin Pocket doesn't print The Book of Five Rings. So I'm here to get some help on what my second best option would be (price doesn't matter). Here is a link to multiple publishers of the book. I don't know which is UK or how to find out. Hope someone here can help me with that. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=book+of+five+rings PS: I don't have to buy it from amazon. Only use it as a general search. So if there is a better publisher of the book not listed there. Feel free to name them. Regards A. Wizard
