Finished A Pound of Flesh by Alex Gray this morning. Halfway through a re-read of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I think it's even better second time round.
-
Those are great Muggle not.

My mum has been clearing out my grandad's house because he went into a rest home last week. She gave me my grandmother's collection of Agatha Christie books.I cant' wait to read them. I think she gave me 21, so still plenty more for me to add to the collection.
-
Finished In the Woods by Tana French, the first in the Dublin Murder Squad series. Really enjoyed this. Off to find out if my library has the rest of the series.
-
Just about finished Angel's Flight by Michael Connelly.
-
I finished The Scarred Woman by Jussi Adler-Olsen and Likely to Die by Linda Fairstein.
-
Finished Russka by Edward Rutherfurd. His books are big, but well worth it. Very good read.
-
"Better than Isis" - a conversation about names of cars.
-
Just finished The Retribution by Val McDermid.
-
I've only read one of Lagercrantz books in this series and I found it really disappointing so haven't read further. It didn't have the depth Larsen's books had. Do you think it's worthy my reading the others? I loved the Larsen books, one of my favourite series and I plan to re-read at some point.

I finished Knife, the last (at this stage) Harry Hole book by Jo Nesbo.
-
I finished Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter last night. It was okay, but I think she's written better, The Good Daughter was better.
-
Fever of the Bone by Val McDermid, the Tony Hill and Carol Jordan series. This is a really good series.
-
Finished Lustrum, the second in Robert Harris's Cicero trilogy. This series is one of the best trilogies I've read.
-
Just finished All That's Dead by Stuart MacBride.
-
Finished Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. A long book but well worth the read. Have requested the sequel from my library.
-
I finished The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (aka J K Rowling). I quite enjoyed this and will be looking for the rest of the series at the library. Now reading All That's Dead by Stuart MacBride.

Murder at the Fitzwilliam sounds good. I'll have to look for it at my library.

I read the Couple Next Door last year and didn't think much of it either. I figured it out early on and only kept reading because I thought there must be some really good twist coming, but there wasn't.

Just finished The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter. One of the best books I've read this year. I couldn't put it down.

Currently reading Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove, interspersed with chapters from Steve Richards's The Prime Ministers, so am in for the long haul (about a quarter of the way through the former)! Both thoroughly engrossing. I've borrowed the latter from the library, but I can see that I will want to go back and dip into it again - there's a lot to absorb, and I feel I'm gaining a lot insight into recent British political history - so may be after my own copy. The former is 'just' a really great read, everything it's cracked up to be in the numerous very positive reviews.
The Steve Richard's book sounds interesting Willoyd. I have an interest in political history so I'll have to see if my library has this.

I finished Wildfire by Ann Cleeves, the last book in the Shetland series. Have now started Sidetracked, an other of the Wallendar series by Henning Mankell.
-
I mostly read in bed, and sometimes at my computer table on my days off.
-
I have this in my library pile. I almost don't want to read it because I don't want the series to end.

You're not missing much if you don't read any more of this series. It became very formulaic.
