I can never relate to any of Stephen Kings characters and sometimes the point of the story line .

I thought WHISPERS by Dean Koontz was excellent ,if you havent read it you should

I must admit Misery and the shinning were great .Maybe I judged Stephen King to harshly before .

I finished reading Fear Nothing by Dean Koontz and I must admit, I'm a bit dissapointed .It wasnt what he put in his novel that left me unquenched,but what he left out .It was like a friday 13th film where your on the edge of your seat in suspense,to be dropped like a ton of bricks, when you see no gore or blood . I do like to use my own imagination ,but I need something to wet it . The basic story line was believablily contructed ,it could happen ,scientists are creating chromosomes of dangerous levels as we speak ,but I expected more .

At last I can put a face to all your names and what lovely faces they are .I'm honoured to meet you all

I'm reading Fear nothing by Dean Koontz which is compelling ,quirky and well up to his normal standard. .

Hi to all, Ive just finished (Misbehaving by Sarah Harvey) .Its a love story of sorts ,but its hilarious,rather than romanticised.. Its about a young woman named Alex who's boyfriend cheats on her .Her friends work out a plan to treat men as they treat women ,with many twists and turns along the way .I laughed out loud while reading this novel .I dare you to read without laughing .

no complacent as in smug, self satisfied . she writes as if she can never be wrong .

I ve never been in a work situation like she describes ,so I can't comprehend where shes coming from .but I do agree that this was the worst chapter to relate to . My personal opinion is that she is a complacent writer and I find her style intolerable.

I agree ,but arent we missing the point of monks ,that they are supposed to be religious men and should of been turning the other cheek ? Anyway I thought it hilarious that one of them had his teeth bleached . why would a monk think that was important ?

I agree with Ruth ,that not all women are rude to men unless its warranted, Breaking her cover brought a smile to my face ,as she couldnt hack it as a man being rejected ,but she was cheating to inform them that she was actually a woman . Overall I enjoyed this chapter.

I agree ,she treats both sexes with disrespect .

Yes ,chapter 3 is dating and 4 is the sex joint ,sorry Ruth . I did find the sex club chapter extremely vivid ,but she made all men look evil and all women sleazy. I don't think the women in this sitution are forced into doing it ,most of them enjoy what they do . I certainly don't think the men who venture into sex clubs feel ashamed of them selves ,as if they did they wouldnt go there in the first place . where are these subspecies she keep bantering on about ,she is so sexest .
