Has anyone read Game of Thrones? I started watching the HBO show and just downloaded the first book on my kindle. I'm trying to decide if I want to start this series first of The Hunger Games...any suggestions? I believe the first one is called A Song of Fire and Ice

I'm not sure if this books qualifies as a secret agent/spy book. But there's lots of politics, espionage, secrets, plot twists, amazingly interesting characters. The book has won several awards and at this point I would say the entire world has heard of it and now its a movie. If you haven't read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy you absolutely should. I hate books about politics and financial journalism but this book became one of my favorites right at page 100 and kept my going non stop through all 3 of the novels. Fantastic read!

Just finished reading RANT by Chuck Palahniuk...that was a GREAT read! Straight to the point, intellectual whilst using vulgar words to paint the picture. Now I'm trying to, well I am, reading WIDEACRE by Phillipa Gregory . Not as enjoyable as RANT was and I think thats because Chuck P. writes in such a different style than Phillipa that my brain just wants to skim over the five paragraphs she writes about how the wind and the trees on the land move. After WIDEACRE I'm so excited to move onto ;a series I've heard nothing but grandeur about!
