February - Historical Fiction Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See I LOVED this book. It takes place in 19th century China and follows the special laotong relationship between Lily and Snow Flower. I learned so much about the lives of Chinese women during this time and was riveted by what their lives were like, especially the descriptions of foot binding.

January - Autobiography/Biography/Memoir Same Kind of Different as Me: A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together by Ron Hall It was an interesting book, each chapter alternating between the art dealer and the homeless man. It wasn't the best book that I ever read, but I definitely enjoyed it and found it to be very thought provoking.
