I saw Felix's mum and family watching him jump. They were all crying with relief when it was evident that he was going to be ok. I was nervous watching it, I can't imagine how his family felt!

I found it amazing that he came down all that way - and landed on his feet, breaking into a casual walk. Now that's just showing off!

I know, there was not even the small sign of a stumble...amazing. However, now Felix has done this, what else is there left to achieve?

You're right kidsmum, there should be an organization to stop such cruelty. The RSPCB (Royal Society for The Protection against Cruelty to Books) maybe?

I've heard about people doing this on planes to make their luggage lighter. I'm pretty sure Anne Fadiman said in one of her books that her Father does it .. and they are a family of bibliophiles!

Hope you are enjoying your Kindle ,Karen . Takes some getting used to in the beginning to switch from paper books to the Kindle, but now it's all I use .

Thanks everyone, yes you're right Julie, it is going to take me a while to work out which buttons do what, but I like it already. One thing, how do you delete books from it? I've accidently downloaded 'Crime and Punishment' in Spanish onto my kindle and want to get rid of it !

You do a Kindle version of 'right click' on the title, then press 'Remove From Device'. That's on my oldie kindle though!
