  1. 'The Descendants'. It's a watchable film and yet, nothing much happens in it.
  2. is going out to lunch with some friends this afternoon. It should be fun.

  3. 'Sunday Snippet' Every Sunday, I thought that I would post a 'snippet' of the book I am currently reading. Here's this week's: Page 628: 'On the morning of the next day, the First Machine Gun Regiment gathered on the parade ground to elect a representative to the Petrograd Soviet. Issak proposed Sereant Grigori Peshkov.' 'Fall of Giants' by Ken Follett Feel free to post a snippet of your latest read too.
  4. hehe I was surfing the net. I missed most of it to be honest. Although I was paying attention with the forfiet, when they had to walk across glass and had to have a concrete block smashed against their heads. Not nice!
  5. Looks like this has the potential to be a good film!
  6. Wow, you have been reading a lot lately!
  7. I'm still ploughing through 'Fall of Giants' by Ken Follett. Even though this is a doorstep of a book, it's mostly worth the effort so far. Currently I'm on page 499.....only another 442 to go....
  8. Who is due to play Hansel and Gretel in this film?
  9. NTAS, but getting bored now....thank goodness it's coming up to the last category.
  10. Whilst I really enjoyed this book, I do agree with you about the ending of this. I did find it disappointing and little too convenient.
  11. making very slow progress with my book lately. I seem to have lost my reading mojo :-(

  12. It's Sunday again, so who is watching 'Dancing on Ice' tonight? It's on at an earlier time tonight, because all of the contestants are skating together (presumably from now on).
  13. Oh of course and I would always want Sherlock to outsmart Moriarty, despite their similarities. I also find Benedict Cumberbatch strangely attractive. His angular cheekbones and curly hair, make him seem like he is from another era.
  14. Yes I agree with your theory. I absolutely loved the last episode to this series, with all its twists and turns. I know some of you aren't fans of Moriarty, but I think that he's a fantastic villian. In my opinion, Moriarty is the epitome of the classic film/book villian. He matches Sherlock's intelligence, but uses it for evil rather than good. Also I love his arrogance for some reason. I can't wait for series 3!
  15. I saw 'We bought a Zoo' last night. It's such a sweet film.
  16. has finally worked out the tarriff on her pay as you go phone....it's so complicated!

  17. I'm 350 pages into 'Fall of Giants' by Ken Follett
  18. 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'. It amazes me how easily 2 13-14 year olds can enter a prison that supposedly impossible to infiltrate..
