  1. Hi Welcome to the boards!
  2. I haven't got a Kindle, but I've just bought myself a tablet. Including within it are Kindle books and Aldiko. I have been looking at the free books and have been busy downloading the following: Have downloaded: 'Pride and Prejudice'- Jane Austen 'Treasure Island' -Robert Louis Stevernson 'Aesop's Fables'- Translated by George Fyler Townsend 'Les Miserables'- Victor Hugo 'Dracula'- Bram Stoker 'Frankenstein' -Mary Shelley 'Great Expectations'- Charles Dickens 'Romeo and Juliet'-William Shakespeare 'Sense and Sensibility'- Jane Austen 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'- R.L Stevenson ' The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn'-Mark Twain ' The Adventures Sherlock Holmes'- Arthur Conan Doyle ' The Count of Monte Cristo'- Alexandre Dumas 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'- Francis Scott Fitzgerald 'The Divine Comedy'- Dante Alighieri 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'- Arthur Conan Doyle 'The Iliad and the Odyssey'- Homer 'The Time Machine'- H.G Wells 'The War of the Worlds'- H.G Wells 'White Fang'- Jack London I've only read 2 chapters of 'The Hound of Baskervilles' by Arthur Conan Doyle and although it's never going to replace 'real' books for me, the reading experience on a e-reader, isn't as bad as I had anticipated.

  5. So far, none of my books have disappeared off Good Reads. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!
  6. I've just got a tablet computer and with it comes Amazon Kindle and another book reading app. I've downloaded Sherlock Holmes, Pride and Prejudice, plus loads more books. So will read those soon.
  7. I have a couple of books marks. I have one with a penguin on that was given to me years ago, by a friend. I also have a gorgeous silver butterfly bookmark from Selfridges, which I received 2 christmases ago. My latest bookmark was given to me last Christmas. It's a beautiful art deco flower bookmark.
  8. I've never actually sat down and compiled a list of the books I want to read, but as you can see, it's expanding rather quickly! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on some of the books I have listed.
  9. I have had problems finding the right cover, but I never realised that it also gave a different page count. I just assumed that as it was the same book, that the page count was the same. So I will try that in future. thanks!
  10. I really like using Goodreads, but I am continually frustrated at the reading progress bar. For me, it has never showed the correct amount of pages for each book, therefore not really showing accurate progress on my reading. It's not an important thing I know, but it's nice to see the bar slowly creeping along and makes me feel as if I have achieved something, particularly with the doorstep sized books.
  11. I was a bit sceptical about the twist this week but now having watched it, I think it has worked well. It definitely seemed to move things a long a lot quicker than usual. It was also showed the judges a clear comparison between the different skaters. What did you think? I also think that Corey and Andy will be in the bottom 2 this week.
  12. I agree! I don't like the Macleans adverts, I didn't like the ones last year either.
  13. Who is your favourite so far? What are everyone's thoughts on this new duel idea? Personally, I don't think that they should play around with the format too much.
