I'm back from my holiday and I finished 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott. This was one of my favourite books, but having re-read it, it's not as good as I remembered it to be. It's a charming story, but I didn't like some of the archaic thoughts on women, although I suppose this is a book of its time.
Then, having realized that I was 1 book from my 30 book challenge this year, I decided to re-read 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll. I read this in about an hour, because it's only 149 pages, but I really enjoyed it. Some of it makes absolutely no sense at all, but I enjoyed it because it's such a fun read.
I'm tempted to start another book, but, as I don't like starting the new year in the middle of a book, then I'll wait for a few days.
I hope you've had a great reading year and here's to more great reads in 2019!
