  1. Hi - You will love Times Legacy - I read it a few months ago and it's definitely up there alongside Lady of Hay - a really good read.
  2. Have you tried any of Jo Nesbo's books - all really great, also Nicki French both authors really keep you holding your breath.

Where abouts in Australia are you? Hi Frankie, Thanks for replying to me. Yes I do have a good life and I love the fact that this forum includes readers fromn all over the world - I think it's amazing. I would so love to travel more, but to talk to other people is almost as good. Where abouts in Finlanbd do you live?

    Hello I'm Lyn

Hi Claire - I've just read your book list and gosh am I impressed! How do you get the time to read so much? I grab every five minutes that I can but I'm still nowhere near up to your level. Also I though I was quite knowledgeable on books, but more than half of the books on your list I haven't even heaqrd of - please tell me more! Hi Ben, Thanks for replying. I suppose I am lucky in my job, but I control the boring senior stiff like the finances, staff etc. and don't get involved in the content of the paper unless it's a complaint but it's still good.

    Hello I'm Lyn

Hi, Thanks for replying to me _ gosh I love reading almost anything but I think my most favourite are historic fiction e.g. Phillipa Gregory, Alison Weir - I loved Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantell, etc, also historic crime e.g. C.S. Sansom, historic thrillers with a twist e.g. Barbara Erskine, Kate Mosse, Jeam M. Auel, George R.R. Martin plus all crime and thrillers e.g. Steig Larsson, Jo Nesbo, Nicki French, Mark Billingham, James Patterson - I could go on and on and on. I have just finished A Suitbale Boy by Vikram Seth which I have had for about ten years. It was amazing - I couldn't put it down. I'm just finishing the Distant Hours by Kate Morton which I hae enjoyed. What about you? 6. Hi I'm Lyn and very new to all this - so I'm hoping for a little bit of help please in navigating my way around this site. I will give you a little bit of info about myself - I'm a married lady with two sons and one stepdaughter who are now out and about in the big wide world. Reading is my passion in life - when I was very small my favourite present from Father Christmas would be four books every year. All the rest of my presents were put to one side untill the books were read. This has continued right through my life and I don't think there has ever been a moment where I haven't had a book on the go. I'm also lucky to work in publishing, in local media where I'm the manager of a local newspaper. I love my job and life in general. Other hobbies include most music, meeting friends down the pub, enjoying the local countryside (I'm lucky to live in a small fishing village in North Devon) and generally socialising. That's enough from me for now but I hope to chat soon.
  7. Hi - I started off loving Barbara Erskine - the Lady of Hay is one of my favourite books. However, the next few books were still pretty good but from then on they just kept getting worse and worse - very samey. I have read Times Legacy and - yippee!!! it's almost as good as Lady of Hay. Barabara Erskine is really back on form.
  8. Hi - I loved this book, what I love most about both Alison Weir and Philippa Gregory isthat they really rsearch the histoirical facts and then add a twist of fiction - brilliant. If you liked this you will also like, The White Queen, The Red Queen, The Lady Elizabeth, and almost anything by the two above authors.
  9. Hi - This is a great list - this would almost be my wish list too. The Kite Runner and a Spledid Thousand Suns are truely great books. I hope you get to read them soon.
  10. Hi- I'm new to this, this is my first comment. I have read both Labyrinth and Sepulchre and they were totally seperate stories. I loved them both. Hope this helps.
