by accident I have purchased anna karenina [ translated by Joel Carmichael ]. I was very moved by the storytelling and decided to read all leo tolstoy novels. however, I have hit a stumbling block. his novels seems to be translated by various authors in english. frankly I am looking for the best english tranlsation. I have started reading war & peace [ translated by Anthony Briggs ]. I am also planning to read Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Anton Chekhov, Maxim Gorky.
