Welcome to the forum, I love crime and horror books myself!
  3. I am planning on getting it at the end of the month, so will let you guys know how I get on! Thanks for all your comments too x
  4. I agree, I would have liked Eric to have been more like himself!! I look forward to the new ones coming out as I want to know what is happening with the characters. All in all though.....Not the best one but I still enjoyed it
  5. I have had that with a couple of Stephen King ones I have read all of his books and some of the films that are adapted from his books aren't very good to be honest! The green Mile was a brilliant (I think) movie as was Misery to name just 2. The Tommyknockers and Salems' Lot were terrible IMO! I am quite suspicious when it comes to movies being made when you know that the book is good! But I will usually read a book first before I see it on dvd or anything.....I know what you mean though, it can be very disappointing when the book is great but the movie is rubbish! When I was younger I read The Exorcist (which I thought was a good read) and when I finally got round to seeing the movie I thought it was the biggest load of rubbish! But that's just my opinion on it, I know a few people thought the film was very scary.....I just didn't get it!!
  6. I finished The Leopard by Jo Nesbo then started to read Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris......finished that, am now gonna start on The Executioner by Chris Carter.
  7. Well it arrived this morning....good timing as I had just finished reading The Leopard....nearly done with it.....agree that it's not as good as the others
  8. Finished my Jo Nesbo book, now am 3 quarters of the way through Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris...think I am gonna finish it today!!

  9. Yes.....there really does have to be a 6th one! I agree that they have to tie it in with F & F 3 (which I didn't think was the best one!)
  10. thank you!! Definitely sounds like the one
  11. Was talking to one of the staff in Waterstones about a month ago and he said that he had read a book which was an "experimental book". I think it was called 21 leaves or something like that. Anyway it sounded quite interesting, apparently when you are reading the book you have to turn the book upside down to read certain pages. Does anyone know what it is called and who the author is? He said it cost about £20.00 I think.
  12. I don't think that I would have been able to keep quiet either!
  13. I ordered this from Waterstones the other day so just waiting for it to come! got about 4 more to read before I get to it though
  14. I found that The Redbreast was slow to start with but am glad that I kept going with it
