Yep, and since I'm one of the Dune fans, I can only vote in favor of Messiah - although some of my friends were a bit disappointed by it.

1984 is weird enough, even more because it's not so far from the truth.

The fact is that people investing their energy in creating such lists are usually trolled in terms "why didn't you include this and that"... I will however point you towards George Orwell and Stephen King in general.
