  1. I'm not into end of the world type things, but this sounds really...I'm stuck for a word, but I have already added it to my waterstones wishlist.
  2. The first book is Guilty Pleasures. I read the 17th one first, and then read the first :L
  3. Some people think that the books are full of sex and are slow and repetitive, although, I've only read the first 2 and have really liked them. I just want to know what everyone else thinks.
  4. I've added these to a list I'm making for him, and I've found another, its: Nothing to Lose and its by lee adams? I think. Keep the books coming if you can you're all really helpful.
  5. My dad recently become ill, and now the bad weather has come, he doesn't go out as much. He's been getting bored now, and phones me a lot more. He bought me some awesome books, which I read in 3 days and he was amazed that I could love books so much. I told him that sometimes, when a book is good enough, it can feel as if your really there. Now, he's bored and I said I'd find him some books to read. He doesn't know what genre he'd like, as he's never really been into reading, although now he'd like a hobby. I've decided to buy him a few, and keep buying until he finds a genre he's into and then I'll get him some of them. Although I don't know how to start. Up to now, I have got him some Dan Brown Books, as even though I don't like the genre, I love his books. I also got him The Book Of Fate by Brad Meltzer. I want to give him Bitten by Kelley Armstrong to give him a dark Fantasy book. Now I just need a horrow, crime and whatever else I can think off. Well, basically(Finally got here) I just need a few books that you recommend to a 50ish year old man, who likes history and was in the army. Anything would be good, I just need some good started books for him. thanks for anything you can help me with! Sorry for the load of writing.
  6. I love these books, all of them<3 Although I can't buy waking the witch just yet! Grrr. I love savannah. she's my favourite.
  7. 1) One Book that made you read it More Than Once: Harry Potter and The Order Of The Pheonix 2) One book you would want on a desert island: Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins 3) One book that made you laugh: Fade Out by Rachel Caine 4) One book that made you cry: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows By J.K Rowling 5) One book that made you wish you had written: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling 6) One book that made you wish had never been written: Shiver By Some Random Author. 7) One book you are currently reading: The Laughing Corpse- Laurell K. Hamilton 8) One book you have been meaning to read: Waking The Witch By Kelley Armstrong 9) One book that changed your life: All Harry Potters By J.K Rowling.
  8. I've read both Fallen and Hush, Hush. The above poster has good taste They're both on my shelf. You should really look into them.
  9. Read them all except the final. can't wait to read the last one. They're brilliant. Read them ALL! In The works in york? The series is 3 for £5:D instead of £7 each
  10. I have only ever read one manga. and that's Vampire Knight. I'd like to read more, but I dunno what else to read. But Vampire Knight is really good
  11. It's not that I don't like twilight, but I think Anne Rice makes her vampires so much more...Vampirey? I don't like the fact that vampires sparkle.
  12. I've read this, and the follow up. Torment. At first, I was like...Urghh. But my girlfriend had bought it and was raving about it. So, when I had run out of books and was getting withdrawal symptoms...I tried it and now I love it. It's not the best book, but you really get into it and the characters are well made and you feel as if your there. You can spend hours thinking about it, and the author really puts effort into her characters. You should read the second one, and I hear they are turning it into a film
  13. Thanks ! Yeah, 27. I have them all in paperback, and all in hard back except the goblet of fire. then I have a couple of adult versions and child versions and celebratory versions. These ones are my 'readable' ones. Because for Christmas I'm hoping to buy them in collectors box editions so that I never have to read, and then I shall have over 30 books I've read them all over 5 times, easily some more than 10...more. Animal Management is awesome, although I rarely have time to read now Thanks for being welcoming:D
  14. Harry Potter without a doubt. I want a puffskein.
  15. Name: Toni Age: 18 Date joined: 08.12.10 Interesting fact?: I'm Vegetarian I'm in college working on an Animal Management course and when I'm not working on assignments, I'm reading. I don't know why, but the books are amazing and at the moment I have 27 copies of Harry Potter. and Hopefully, I'm getting more for christmas I like dark fantasy, or dark Romance as they say in waterstones. I have a Girlfriend, who I force to read everything I read, even when she's still on another book.
