Favourite authors? JK Rowling, John Saul Why did you join The Book Club Forum? Wanted to join a book club as there's none in my area. Would help me try to focus more on what I was reading so I'd absorb everything instead of thinking about things like lasagna until there's something "exciting" happening. How did you become a member of the Mod Squad? the what squad? o.O What is the most gratifying part of being staff at The Book Club Forum? they're quite friendly. I've only been here a few days though - but I'm sure I'll get to know them - when my nose isn't stuffed in a book that is. What makes you happiest about the site? I'll get to keep track of the books I've read and etc. Be fun to look back when I've read 1,000+ books and laugh when I was only 14 books in LOL. What is your favourite section of the Book Club Forum and why? I haven't really browsed around much. Just looked through a few forums like rules, book lists, and young adult books. Lemme edit my answer when I've cruised the whole site =) We all know you love reading, but what kind of books do you most enjoy and why? Fantasy. When you're in school you learn to live, you learn about real life - so it's time for entertainment and learn about worlds that aren't real and fantasize about having powers, or creatures around you. Fantasy land is funnnn <3. Which book do you most often recommend to others and why? Manhattan Hunt Club by John Saul - When I was younger I kept trying to read, and trying to read. Picked up "famous" and "popular" books all the time and attempted to read but never got into them. This book kept me thoroughly entertained from the beginning and was the first book I had ever read start to finish. Though now I don't remember the end - I do remember the majority of the story and still like it. *scratches head* how did it end? What other interests do you have and what drew you to them? I like to play guitar - it's my favourite portion in any song. ( I rarely listen to anything without guitars in it) Lyrics and vocals make a song better - but it all starts with some sort of "tune" =). Graphics - I love making graphics. It passes time quickly and it's neat to make something from 'nothing' thus why I also like to cross-stich, and crochet (I used to like knitting but that took ages and crocheting is faster :x) Tell us three unusual and interesting things about yourself… I'm more of a dog person, but I have a cat. This is the only cat I don't "hate" for some reason or another. I spend so much time in the "fantasy" world (games, books etc.) that when I come back to "earth" I forget what's goin' on and that I can't fly on a broom and cast spells or turn into a wolf and hunt vampires LOL. I wish we could shut the hydro off for one year and live without 'computers' or 'technology'. Then instead of people blaring the tv, I could spend countless hours reading.
  8. Last year I tried to read it and somehow got annoyed that Bella was too whiny throughout it. But this time around - I'm understanding more. Perhaps cause I'm uninterupted and actually 'catching' everything. I'm changing my opinion about it now - as I'm on page 223? now and there wasn't as much whining as I remembered o.O. I swear before every paragraph had "Edward left me" in it. It's like someone took my book and replaced it with one that didn't have that o.O So yeah, I'm actually enjoying it now =). A bit too 'romance' for me but hey, chalk one up to guilty pleasure ;p. =)
  9. So, as you'll find the more I post - I'm quite OCD about my reading. I wondered if many others follow me with this - when you stop reading a book, where do you stop? Do you force yourself to complete a chapter? or do you underline the last sentence you read/stop mid-chapter? I force myself to complete a chapter. I can not stand just stopping midway. I have to judge the alloted time I'm able to read - and read chapter by chapter accordingly. If I for some reason can not complete a chapter I won't continue reading, or if I'm getting too tired - I won't start another chapter (tried it once, and ended up having to read with one eye closed - was so tired I had to squint with the eye I was using to read. Fun times - never again lol.

  13. too me, it's all depends on how long the book is - how 'good' it is, and how much 'rubbish' is in it. For example: I read the first harry potter book in 2 days, the 2nd in a week, the 3rd in a day and a half. the forth and fifth took a month each, the 6th took a week and then I had a 2 month break and read the 7th in 2 days. Twilight - took me 3 days (498 pages), Robin Hood took me 3 weeks (300 pages), Red is for Remembrance took me 8 hours (300 pages) New Moon is 600 pages, and so far it's been 6 days and I'm only 120 pages in. lol.
