  1. That's funny, I think it does make quite a lot of sense. The whole book is about Blue trying to understand what happened and how. She's basically doing a study over all the disasters [her special topics in calamity] that has happened in her life [basically the physics: motion, time, energy, force of nature, "to understand the order of how [her] life works"..] so, I think it's a rather clever play with word.
  2. So much happens in every episode. Crazily fast paced! and that's why it's so good
  3. Oh! I love this show!! And it just gets better and better, if that's possible.. Caroline is quickly becoming my favourite, and Katherines evilness is perfect. Can't wait for thursdays episode!
  4. Hi! Welcome to the forum
  5. She's not that well known here, or known at all I would say, so summer sisters is the only one I know. And you're right, she writes characters one can relate to easily. It's fun to see how different one sees them all now from the first time reading it. Hope you find it!
  6. This sounds so good, I have to find it at the library! Thanks (:
  7. ^Really good casting! The first I was sure it was the same actor and that they'd only made him look smaller while on the bike...
  8. Sorry! I'm just too picky and didn't really like his writing style, and the dialogue! we don't talk like that... So if you're finding it excellent now I'm sure you'll like the rest of them
  9. I started his first one, but never liked it so gave up..
  10. The Denali coven has been cast as well!
  11. the guardian (I think it's called that?) about the us coast guards. very predictable and quite a rip off from the richard gere one, but not bad at all.
  12. I liked the film, and the subject of the book but never really his writing... So I do agree with you about that big parts of the book felt boring and could have been cut out without hurting the story.
  13. Hi! Was wondering if anyone else here has read Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. Would like to hear others thoughts about the ending and the characters in general. (:
  14. It's not her best one, but it definitely deals with an interesting subject. When I've misplaced something I can't find I like to pretend it's now in the place where all lost things ends up, socks, persons, things... (: The beginning of the book wasn't as easy to get into as her others but it grew on me.
  15. Those are harsh words! She's far from the best author out there, and her writing is very simple most of the time but they are charming and filled with emotions that makes you both laugh out loud and cry. All the subjects she takes on are such that I find myself thinking about long after I've finished the books. A place where all lost things ends up, imaginary friends... I guess I would say she writes fairy-tales for grown-up kids (:
