  1. There's going to be 4 books in the FALLEN series, the book after TORMENT would be called PASSION which will be released summertime 2011.. I CAN'T WAIT! I'm reading TORMENT at the moment, I got it as a gift for Christmas and so far, it's great! FALLEN was absolutely wonderful, it got me so hooked. I can't even say whether the TWILIGHT series is better than the FALLEN series, because in my opinion, both series are equally as brilliant as each other.
  2. At the moment, I am very into Dark Fantasy and Dark Romance so I've put together a list of books from these genres to read for next year! The Dark Tower: Wizard And Glass by Stephen King. 5. The Dark Tower: The Wolves Of The Calla by Stephen King. 6. The Dark Tower: Song Of Susannah by Stephen King. 7. 3. Hey! Although this may be an old post, I think it would be fun to do this survey still. 1. Age (<18, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+) I am between 18-24. 2. Gender Female. 3. What do you read on a daily basis? (blogs, newspapers, books, etc.) Books and Japanese Comic Books. 4. How often do you read for fun in a week? It varies. 5. What time of day do you like to read? Night time - where the house is quiet because everyone's asleep while you're still awake, the lampshade's on and you're lost in another world. 6. Where do you read? Mostly in my bedroom, but when I'm not at home, I read in a place where it's quiet. 7. How many books have you read in the last 6 months? 7 since I'm usually busy with other things. 8. What type/genre do you enjoy reading most? I don't have a favourite, but preferably: Gothic, Fantasy/ Supernatural and Fantasy genres. 9. Why do you read? (entertainment, relaxation, learning, etc.) Although I read for entertainment, relaxation and learning also, the main reason is to feed my imagination. One of the best reasons that I love to read is to get lost in a completely different world or pretending to live another person's life (referring to characters). 10. What barriers prevent you from reading more? Busy with college work. 11. Do you think reading for fun is important? Yes, if you read for fun then the more you can enjoy what you are reading. 12. Do you fold page corners or use a bookmark? I use a bookmark. 13. Do you prefer to read to music or in silence? Mostly in silence. 14. Do you discuss books with your friends? No. 15. Do you borrow books from the library? I buy my own copies - it's good to have a personal library in the house filled with a collection of books you have enjoyed. 16. Do you borrow/loan books from/to friends? Yes, especially when you recommend something to them.
  4. Hello fellow readers and book-lovers! I am here looking for books that I can read in the year 2011. I have read a mixture of books this year, but for next year, I simply want to read books mostly in the Gothic Literature (be it classics such as Wuthering Heights or modern like Fallen by Lauren Kate and the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer!), Science Fiction or Fantasy/ Supernatural genres. I have recently read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, The Lord of The Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien and have been fascinated with books like these since, so I am willing to explore more of these genres! But yes, those are the kinds of books I'm looking for, something dark yet action-packed and full of adventure. I appreciate those of you who can help me out with many suggestions. Thanks in advanced to everyone!
  5. Hey there! Lucky I'm into the Gothic Fiction genre myself, if you haven't read this yet, I recommend WUTHERING HEIGHTS. I've recently just finished reading this book and absolutely loved it, it's based on revenge and messed up romance. =) My apologies, but I've forgotten to include the author's name, WUTHERING HEIGHTS by Emily Bronte.
