here is what my sister remembers about the book. I thought it was something like Charles or Todd Angier but I have looked and looked. The book was about a ballerina living in NY and I think she may have been from Russia or someplace originally. He, I believe, a Canadian who was an outdoorsmen and took his city wife to live in Canada. maybe this will help jog someones memory

I'm looking for a book me and my sister loved when we were younger about a man / woman who moves from the U.S.A. to Canada to live in a cabin, The publish date is before 1982, I thought the title was something like in the woods, or in to the woods, or cabin in the woods but according to the book databases I looked at I'm not close. the parts of the book I remember is him/her talking about spit freezing before it hit the ground. and something about hudson bay. I'm wanting to find a copy for my Sister and I'm wanting to read it again.
