  1. No, I didn't make it. It's from DaWanda, a German internet market place where everyone can sell things he made. I was really happy to find these covers because they are beautiful and much cheaper than the ones you get on amazon.de. I didn't want to pay 60 € or more for a cover... Here is the link to the shop selling these covers: http://de.dawanda.com/shop/mosus?noc=2909047
  2. I love my kindle and I love my cover! It looks like a jotter. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2643856979386.2144612.1344456560&type=3&l=2835db2828
  3. My kindle arrived one week ago and I'm really happy. Don't think that I will prefer it to real books normally, but I think I will love it when I'm travelling.
  4. Oh why haven't I known such a bakery when I was in England? Sounds wonderful! So I'm looking forward to Tuesday and hope I won't forget to watch. Well, if I do I can watch it later on the website
  5. So now I watched episode 2. What a great show, I really enjoyed it! I hope I will remember to watch it on Tuesday. I'm really curious because of the theme. Making bread? I'm not sure that English people can make good bread (please don't take offence, but I'm from Germany, the country with the hundreds or thousands of different breads ) So looking forward to the show, maybe they can change my opinion!
  6. Never heard of this but now I'm curious. Will watch it on the BBC homepage right now
  7. Kell, they didn't let you play because you couldn't read music? That's really unfair! If you could play the songs just by ear that shows that you are really musical. What a shame that they stole you the enjoyment of playing the violin! By the way, I really need to play my ukulele again, haven't played it for weeks
  8. In Germany, season 2 starts today
  9. I totally forget to mention that my music career started with the recorder as well. I wasn't really good at it but at least while playing I learned read notation. By the way, I always was good in maths and not really talented for music...
  10. Hi, I'm just curious if you play a musical instrument and of course which musical instruments you play. Me, I play the accordion since I'm eleven. An just two days ago I started playing the ukulele. OK, playing is a it exaggerated but I'm doing my best Curious greetings Julia
  11. My favourite book so far is Das Lied der Träumerin by Tanya Stewner. It's a book from a German author about a girl who want to live her dream. She wants to sing and so she goes to London and tries to make this dream come true. It's a book about live and death, love and despair. It is really fascinatind and made me think about myself and my life.
  12. ruby red is out now. Has anyone read it yet? Here you can find a short interview with Kerstin Gier:
  13. Well Jan Delay and Stefan Raab has a history together - Jan singing in a show by Stefan and Jan judging in the Eurovision preselection - so no surprise for me that he was singing yesterday. But actually, he is really well liked in Germany. Can anyone explain to me why Greece got so many points? I thought that this attempt of rapping was awful. Beside that: I enjoyed the show. I'm a bit sad that Finnland and Estonia got such a little amount of points but I like the winner song and I'm happy for Denmark, top 5 is something! Oh and I liked the English song! Of course I'm also glad that Lena made the top 10. I really liked her performance yesterday! Looking forward to next year ESC!
  14. I'm curious: What do you say to the opening? To Raab singing Satellite? I'm really curious what not German people think about that!
  15. Yeah! It has begun. And Stefan Raab with a cravat, wow! Have fun if you are watching!
  16. Welcome and greetings from the neighbour-country
  17. I watched both semi-finals this week and I must admit I didn't like most of the song. The one I really enjoyed was the Finnish one - I really like Paradise Oskar. I also enjoyed Estonia and Denmark. Well, and yes, I like Lena and her song (I must admit, I like the whole CD with all the songs from which Taken by a stranger was chosen). The French artist is great, but I don't understand why he is the favourite, either. And I must admit, I don't really know the song Britain will perform. Well, I will see it tomorrow
  18. The Eurovision Song Contest semi final. Bur I don't like what I am hearing...

  21. I want to tell you about a wonderful young adult trilogy today. It's a trilogy from the german author Kerstin Gier. It's about a girl called Gwen (well at least in the German books, I think she is called Gwyneth in the translation). She lives with her family in London. The important person of the family is her cousin Charlotte, because everyone think that she would be able to travel in the time. But that's not true, it's Gwen who is the time traveller. And so after years with training for Charlotte it's Gwen who jumps in the time, Gwen, who cannot fence, who has no idea how people lived in the past, Gwen, who only wanted to be a normal girl. But now she has a big task. She need to work together with Gideon, a male time traveller. There are tasks to be done and she really need to find out what the secret of the time travelling is. Why flew her cousin Lucy and her friend Paul, the last time travellers before Gwen and Gideon, why are they hiding know in the past? What did they find out? And why lied Gwens mother about Gwens birthday, why wouldn't she tell anyone the right date, the date that would have indicated that Gwen is the time traveller? There are a lot of mysteries and a turbulent time begins - a time with a lot of adventur, dangerous times and - of course - love. It's really an enchanting story, I love all three books. Gwen is such a great girl, sarcastic, funny and tough. And she has a wonderful friend called Leslie, helping her in the exciting time. Well, and than there is Gideon. I think most of the readers fall in love with him. OK, I could go on and on adoring the trilogy. But I think I will wait until some of you have read the first book. You will be able to read it soon because it will be published in America in May. It will be named Ruby Red. The English edition called Girl about time will be out in august. If you read it - have fun!
