Hi, Echo. I just wanted to say I am sorry you are ill, and hope you feel better soon.

Thank you very much for your kindness. This person is the only real friend I thought I had. Because of my social anxiety, I don't make and keep friends easily. I came to this forum to feel not alone. I know being alone is probably not good for me now.

False Memory is ok, but there have been other books by Dean Koontz that I have enjoyed more. I like a lot of different authors. Ray Bradbury, Mark Helprin, Patricia McKillip, Robin Hobb, Tom Robbins...just to name a few. I have no idea what the square root of that number is.
Thank you! I hope you are well also.

Thank you for the friendly debate, although that kind of thing can exhaust me. But maybe we can have a one on one some time. Wishing you and yours all good things.

I'm sorry to hear you were bullied in school as well.
People can be cruel. Even adults can be cruel. And mostly it's just because they don't think. Humans are fragile, even the ones that don't seem so. A tender heart, a kind word, a warm, unexpected smile given to another is the best medicine.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the series. It is in my TBR file. I don't really enjoy cops and crime novels that much myself, but the Koontz I have read so far hasn't had much of that.

I just remembered! If you really do pick up one of those Porcupine Tree CDs, please let me know what you think. And please give them a few listens before you make up your mind.

Oh, that sucks!
You are right. They shouldn't have pre-sale tickets. Bon Jovi is from the state I grew up in, by the way. New Joyyyysey.

You can ship me off to bed, but I will probably end up propped up on my pillows, reading.

That is the direction I am heading in, and I can't do it. I have IBS, and if I don't get my sleep, it's savagery will take over. The beast requires sleep and as little stress as possible for it to be tamed.

Yes, I got the PM, thank you. I am enjoying this forum immensely, except it's keeping me from my reading.
I am sure I will find a happy medium once I settle in and get used to things, though.

Not a problem. Laugh if you will but I discovered my love for piano jazz by watching Peanuts and then buying the soundtrack. Vince Guaraldi is a brilliant jazz pianist. Most people don't realize that all those Peanut episodes have jazz music playing in the background.
