  1. There's the Bitterbynde trilogy by Cecilia Dart-Thornton. I read it many moons ago so can't remember much about it, but the main character was mute. Good luck with your search
  2. I'm reading The lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. It's good so far but I'm more in the mood for something similar to the Luxe series - big gowns, secrets, love - something light...
  3. Finished reading Water for elephants by Sara Gruen. Fantastic read I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
  4. Well I can't believe it's taken me 6 weeks to read Afterlife by Claudia Gray. So glad it's finally over and I can move onto something I'm excited to read....now to figure out what that will be.
  5. Finished reading Hourglass by Claudia Gray yesterday and moved straight onto Afterlife which will be the final book in the Evernight series for me. I think there's one more but I'm just not that interested the characters just don't grab me.
  6. I've started reading Hourglass By Claudia Gray - part of the Evernight series. I've decided this month I'm going to finish off some of the older series I have going the last time I read a book in this series was back in September 2009!
  7. Well that was a quick read... Have finished The selection stories The prince and The guard by Kiera Cass already didn't take long at all - didn't help that there was 100 or so pages of a sneak peek of The Heir (which I've already read) in there too. No idea what to read next now.
  8. I finished reading The marks of Cain by Tom Knox last night. There were some stomach churning moments but was quite a good read. Makes me want to look into the subject matter more which is always the sign of a good book. I will be looking into the other books written by this author in the future. Moving onto something more light and frothy with The selection stories The prince and The guard by Kiera Cass
  9. I'm just over halfway through The marks of Cain by Tom Knox. Good read so far hoping to finish it this weekend.
  10. Finished reading The sin eater's daughter by Melinda Salisbury tonight - really enjoyed it BUT didn't like where it ended I only hope there is another book coming otherwise I'll be wondering forever about what happened to the characters. Not sure what to move onto next..
  11. Been in a reading slump lately - life has been getting in the way. So it kick start my mojo I've re - read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone. I've moved onto The sin eater's daughter by Melinda Salisbury.
  12. Finished reading Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier last night the last book in the Trilogy, and I must say I'm sad it's over. Great characters and good ending wished there was more to it though. Not sure what to move on to next though.

  14. I finished reading Ruby red by Kerstin Gier today good read. Looking forward to starting the second in the trilogy Sapphire blue. Time travel and a love story just what I'm after at the moment.
  15. Finished The Heir by Kiera Cass today....got to the last 100 pages and realized that it wouldn't be all tied up in a neat little package. With a sinking heart I checked out the author's website and there is was, fifth book out in 2016! I wished I knew that before starting I hate leaving a story half told. Good read though.
  16. It's a book of his short stories from when he was younger good quick read. I've read the 3 selection books so far - they too have been quick reads good for something different. I've been looking into getting the novellas too just can't justify the price at the moment.
  17. Finished reading Dragons at Crumbling castle by Terry Pratchett - cracking good read! Thinking I might read The Heir By Kiera Cass next.
  18. It came out in 2009 - it's taken me this long to get to it.
  19. Finished reading Hamlet by John Marsden a good retelling by a great Australian author. Not sure what will be next but I'm leaning towards a Terry Pratchett.....
  20. Finished reading Troll Mountain by Matthew Reilly tonight good quick read. Not sure what to move on to next might let the book jar pick.
  21. I finished reading The song of the Quarkbeast by Jasper Fforde today - very enjoyable read. I'm moving on with Troll Mountain by Matthew Reilly which I've been waiting forever for to come out in paper form.
  22. No I probably wouldn't. I enjoyed the first and the second to some extent which is why I have the series, but after the second book they're just not that memorable. I still have 2 more books to go and I know I'll put off reading them probably for years...or until I get sick of looking at them mocking me on the shelf. That's just my opinion though.
  23. Finally finished reading Syren by Angie Sage took forever I just couldn't get into it. I've now moved on to The song of the Quarkbeast by Jasper Fforde.
  24. I'm not winning with Septimus Heap book 5 Syren by Angie Sage, I can't really remember what happened in the last four books which is making it hard. I did however treat myself to some new books after a crappy day, so I'm now the proud owner of Dorothy must die and the sequel The wicked will rise by Danielle Paige and Ruby red by Kerstin Gier.
  25. I finished The Poison diaries by Maryrose Wood and Jane Northumberland today. Thinking I might read Syren by Angie Sage next - I'll see what takes my fancy tonight.
