  1. wow you don't realize how many books are your favourite until you have to choose... The tomorrow series - John Marsden Matilda - Roald Dahl Inkheart - Cornelia Funke Harry Potter series - JK Rowling Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte Charlotte's web - EB White The Thursday Next series - Jasper Fforde Jack West Jr series - Matthew Reilly The Troy game series - Sara Douglass Outlander series - Diana Gabaldon There are probably another half a dozen that I would add if I could but these were the first to come to mind.
  2. I finished The One by Kiera Cass today and now need to wait for the next book to be published. I didn't think I was that hooked to this series until I finished this one and felt lost knowing I would have to wait - lucky it won't be a long one.
  3. I finished The great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald. today. Not sure what to read next. Might let the book jar pick.
  4. Finished Skulduggery Pleasant Armageddon outta here by Derek Landy last night. It took longer than I thought considering it's short stories. I'm moving onto the fifth book for the month so it's a classic, thinking of going with The hunchback of Notre-Dame by Victor Hugo.
  5. I finished The elite by Kiera Cass last night and am debating starting the third today. Just worried if I get to the end and it's a hanger I'll have to wait for the next one to be released. So it's a toss up between The one by Kiera Cass or Skulduggery Pleasant armageddon outta here by Derek Landy.
  6. Yesterday I started and finished The selection by Kiera Cass and have moved on to The elite the second book in the series.
  7. I finished Fault in our stars by John Green today and totally understand the following it has. It made me cry bucket loads. Not sure what's up next might have to bring in the book jar, hopefully it will be something light.
  8. I've finally finished Persuasion by Jane Austen and will be counting it towards Mach's tally. I can't see this being a re-read for me in the future. I'm moving on to The fault in our stars by John Green.
  9. Pushed through and finished Witches abroad by Terry Pratchett tonight. I'm looking to start Persuasion by Jane Austen tomorrow. I decided that this year I wanted to read more classics so every fifth book in the month will be a classic - so I'll have at least 12 read this year. It's working well so far.
  10. I'm reading Witches abroad by Terry Pratchett at the moment and struggling a little. I just can't get into the witch stories as much as I can the wizard and Death stories.
  11. Started and finished Dirty pretty things by Michael Faudet a book of poems, short stories and thoughts. Glad I read it at home and not work - some of it made me blush a little
  12. Finished Reaper man by Terry Pratchett this morning. Such a great writer, no wonder his books have suddenly seen an increase in sales. I've had the last 12 discworld books in my basket on book depository for weeks and since his passing they've steadly become unavailable.
  13. Finally finished Best served cold by Joe Abercrombie today. Was a good read but seemed to drag on forever. In honour of the great Sir Terry Pratchett's passing today I've decided to read Reaper man next. A sad day for the literary world.
  14. Well I wasn't going to count them since knowing how many books I have that I haven't read scares me...but since you asked it's 253
  15. I've started reading Best served cold by Joe Abercrombie. I've also decided to put together a book jar like so many of you on here to help me pick when I'm stuck, which has lead to a sorting of mount TBR. Looking forward to finishing this task today - there's quite a few books I'd forgotten I'd bought
  16. I finished The Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows today. What a fantastic little book! I finished it on my lunch break at work today and it left me with a warm fuzzy feeling for the rest of the afternoon. The only gripe I have is that I didn't read it sooner, I've had it for years but never really been interested in it - kicking myself I am!
  17. I've read and loved both the Study and Glass series. There's was just something about Avry that got on my nerves but don't let that put you off.
  18. I finished Taste of darkness by Maria V Snyder last night, it's the third book in the healer series. It was a quick read but the story seemed to drag until the last 20 pages then it was all over in a heartbeat. I've moved on to The Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.
  19. Finished To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee today. I'm looking forward to the new Harper Lee book now and have it at the top of my wish list. Not sure what to read next choosing from mount TBR is daunting sometimes.
  20. I finished reading Chasing Odysseus by S.D Gentill. it's the first in a trilogy and to be honest I'm not really compelled to read the rest. It was a good read but not great for me so I'm moving on to Harper Lee's To kill a mockingbird. I first read when I was 12 or 13 so I'm interested to see what my take on it now is.
  21. So far this month I've read Moving pictures by Terry Pratchett, Auslander by Paul Dowswell and The last dragon slayer By Jasper Fforde. I'm currently reading Chasing Odysseus by S.D Gentill which is quite good so far.

  23. July Magyk - Angie Sage Flyte - Angie Sage Physik - Angie Sage August Queste - Angie Sage dragon's oath - P.C and Kristin Cast September October November December
